Story Summary

Homeless and an orphaned Christian Holden was fifteen when he was adopted by Gilbert Prescott who was the Founder Director of one of the leading fashion houses of the country. However, Christian was instantly drawn to his nine year old daughter Melania Prescott. For the next three years, Christian swore to protect her and he went out of his way to do so.

At eighteen he received full scholarship at one of the premier colleges due to his sheer hard work and intelligence. He left New York and went away to Stanford University to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer. But his heart was heavy since he had to leave behind the only person in the world for whom he had started developing feelings. Feelings that were deeper than the ocean, feelings that he couldn't escape from, feelings that he had no control over.

After ten years, he had to return to New York when his foster parents invited him for Melania's wedding to a shipping magnate.
