Chapter Twenty-Two

The next few days, Georgia was pissed off with Wyatt's persuasive ways. He followed her everywhere, to her home, to the mall, in and around college. He left no stones unturned yet Georgia hated the sight of him. Wyatt was more frustrated than ever. Time was running out and he wasn't getting anywhere near her.

However, after fifteen days, he found a breakthrough. As he  followed Georgia as usual after college, to his immense satisfaction, her car broke down on the way. She stood wondering what had gone wrong when Wyatt parked right behind her and got down from his car.

Georgia stared at her car. How could it just shut down in the middle of the road. She pulled out her mobile to call Phil knowing fully well that both of them were already at their office where they were undergoing their internships. But before she could call Phil, she saw Wyatt approaching her. She knew that he had been stalking her like a creep for the last fifteen days. It made her uncomfortable but she waited patiently for his interest to wane off. If she would show her disinterest, she was sure that he would stop following her around since there were so many attractive girls in the college who would give anything to be with Wyatt.

"Hi!" Said Wyatt with a grin. "Need help?" He asked with a smirk.

"Nope. I'll call my brother," she told him.

"Aw, C'mon. I could help you. Why do you need to bother your brother?" Asked Wyatt, opening the bonnet to check her car. Georgia was quiet. She wasn't sure that Phil would be available to help her. Both were busy with their engineering courses as well as internships.

After a few minutes, Wyatt looked at her as she too peeped in to see what he was up to. "Why don't you like me, Georgia? Like I'm not an ogre or something who's gonna gobble you up," he laughed. Georgia blushed and shook her head.

"Why do you follow me around? Don't you think that's creepy?" She asked him. Wyatt chuckled.

"I'll stop if you be my friend," he said over his shoulder as he walked towards his car. After a few seconds he emerged with a can of brake fluid and poured it into her car's reservoir.

"So?" He prompted when Georgia didn't answer him. Georgia nodded.

"What do I need to do as your friend? I'm just a friend mind you. Not girlfriend," she reminded him and he chuckled.

"You'll soon be that too," he said as he closed the hood of her car. Georgia gaped at him as he walked towards his car. "So stalking or friendship?" He asked eagerly. Georgia was in a dilemma. Obviously she didn't want to be stalked. Who wanted to be? But friendship with Wyatt? Was she making a wrong decision? He didn't seem to be a 'just friendship' type of a guy. He also told her that he'd soon make hedhis girlfriend. What she couldn't understand was why was he so interested in her?

"Decide fast, Georgia, " said Wyatt impatiently.

Georgia sighed. "Okay, friendship, " she said. Wyatt's face brightened up with a wide smile on his face.

"Great. Then be ready to go out with me after college, tomorrow," he yelled over his shoulders as he unlocked his car door.

"I didn't agree to a date, Wyatt. So why do we need to go out?" She asked him suspiciously.

"Can't friends just hang out?" He rolled his eyes, climbing into his car. Georgia shrugged and climbed into hers. She drove off and checked that Wyatt backed out and swerved his car, driving off in the opposite direction. Georgia smiled. So he did keep his promise.

The whole of next week Wyatt was a gentleman in the true sense of the word. He took her to many places, treated her to good food and made her feel special. Georgia felt cherished and enjoyed his attention. After the pain Ryan had inflicted upon her, she felt like she had made the right decision to come to Wyoming. Here everyone were polar opposites to the residents of Fordsville. However, Gabrielle hated Wyatt and now that Georgia seriously started hanging out with him and his group, she warned her everyday to stay away from him. Georgia felt that she was jealous and didn't pay any heed to her. Gabrielle didn't hang out with her and Wyatt and kept to herself.

"Georgia, don't you think that we belong to one another?" Asked Wyatt one day, when they were sitting at a cafe after college. He insisted on treating her to lunch since a week had passed by since she had agreed to be his friend.

"We're good friends, Wyatt. Can we be just that please?" She  told him. Her mind instantly went towards Ryan. She knew that despite what he had done to her, she still loved him. It's not so easy to forget your first love, after all.

"Do you love someone else?" Asked Wyatt curiously.

"Yes," said Georgia truthfully. Wyatt's face fell as he realized that there was only one week to go and yet he hadn't been able to convince her to be his girlfriend. Most importantly, he hadn't been able to kiss her or have s*x with her like he had planned. His friends made fun of him everyday and Callum had already started planning on how to go about his one month trial period to woo her. Wyatt felt a strange anger in his veins. He couldn't fail and he couldn't let another man touch what was his. He would have Georgia and compel her to be his.

"I don't think he's worthy of your love since he's not here with you," said Wyatt. Georgia looked down at her plate and toyed with her food. Wyatt took advantage of her silence. "I'm not like him, Georgia. Try me. Be my girlfriend and I'll worship you like a Goddess, every single day of my life," he said, grasping her hand and holding it in his. Georgia looked up at him but couldn't fathom from the look in his eyes whether he was saying the truth or not.

"Give me a chance, Georgia. You're free to break it off with me anytime, " he lied in his desperation. Georgia had never met the likes of Wyatt in all her nineteen years of life. She believed him and felt how different he was from Ryan Wilson. Should she give him a chance? If she didn't want to remain his girlfriend, she could always back out.

However, Ryan's face kept appearing in front of her eyes. She wanted to teach him a lesson. She wanted to marry Wyatt and go back to Fordsville and rub it in Ryan's face that she wasn't dependent upon him for her happiness. She wanted him to suffer the way that he had made her suffer. "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend, Wyatt," she said. Wyatt suddenly pulled her and claimed her lips. She felt like throwing up at the stench of cigarettes coming from his breath. She didn't open her mouth to him and struggled to get away. It was the most disgusting kiss of her life.

"You didn't like the kiss?" Asked Wyatt with worry.

"Please not here, Wyatt. Everyone's watching, " she lied. Wyatt laughed.

"You're adorable, you know, " he said. He was in the best of spirits and has clicked a picture of their kiss. He would love to check the reaction of his friends when he showed them the photograph. He had nearly won the bet. All he needed to do was somehow get her to his bed and have his way with her. His whole body tingled with excitement. That part would be the most exciting of all. He had to admit that the girl was too hot for her own good.

Georgia blushed but her heart wasn't happy. Her mind kept comparing this filthy kiss to the heavenly ones that she had shared with Ryan. If only Ryan hadn't been so mean to her, she still would have been at Fordsville with him. Maybe she would have confessed her feelings to Ryan. She didn't like the way Wyatt kept on taking their photographs but maybe all boyfriends were like that. She had never been in a relationship before and neither had she seen anyone, so she had actually no idea about what boyfriends really did. Her brothers were so mean that no girls ever liked them. Hence she was totally inexperienced in this field.

Afterwards Wyatt dropped her to her house but wanted her to spend her weekend at his place since his parents were going out. Georgia didn't commit to him.

"I'll see about that later, Wyatt. Right now, I have to finish my assignment for tomorrow, " she told him. She took her studies very seriously and nothing could come in between her studies this time. After completing the assignment, she would decide if she wanted to go to Wyatt's house.

"Oh, C'mon. You've got to come. We'll have so much fun,  picnic, pool party, BBQ. I'll teach you salsa. We can watch your favorite movie," coaxed Wyatt.

"I'll complete the assignment and then give you a call, Wyatt, " she promised.
