Chapter Thirteen
Georgia felt very hurt by his rude behavior. Her eyes filled with tears. She never cried when her mom and dad was in the hospital but Ryan's harsh words broke her heart. She swore in her mind that she would show him that she could do the project on her own.
The next few days, either Phil or Cameron went with Georgia to Alpine farm and helped her out with her research. Andrew and Carl saw her and reported to Ryan who went crazy with jealousy. It was Sunday and he wanted to see her with his own eyes so he waited hidden near Alpine farm at the time she usually visited with the guys Andrew had mentioned. His blood was boiling and he wanted to see for himself.
However, after twenty long minutes, Georgia arrived with a tall and handsome man who dropped her off at Alpine. He looked refined and city-bred and Ryan felt the instant pang of jealousy. After the guy drove off, unable to contain himself any longer, Ryan strode towards Georgia.
Georgia gasped suddenly seeing him right in front of her nose. "Ryan? What are you doing here?" She gasped but Ryan wasn't listening. He grasped her arm and started pulling her towards the backside of the farm. Georgia struggled against his hold. What was wrong with him? How can he change from being rude to suddenly becoming forceful?
"Stop, Ryan! Where are you taking me to?" She gritted out getting annoyed by his behavior. He didn't answer her.
"I don't have time for your nonsense. I need to go to Alpine," she seethed, struggling to break free.
Ryan whirled her around and pinned her against a wall with his thick, muscular leg while his eyes blazed like fire. Georgia was shocked as she stared into his stormy eyes, unable to comprehend a thing. "Have you gone crazy?" She whispered with wide eyes, lost in his darkened eyes which were inches away from hers.
"Yes, I've gone crazy! You've driven me crazy!" He gritted out, gazing into her seductive hazel eyes that were pulling him towards her like a magnet. Georgia's eyes widened further.
"Ryan, there's no time...," started Georgia but Ryan's low growl interrupted her immediately.
"You have time for everyone except me, right? You love to torture me, isn't it?" Spoke Ryan in a low growl. Georgia gaped at him, her body trembling at their nearness.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Ryan, " she whispered, lost in his electric blue eyes.
Ryan crushed his body to hers. "You still can't understand a thing? Do the other boys arouse you more?" He growled, his finger trailing along her cheek to her chin, upturning her face towards his. His glance went to her stormy and confused eyes and her luscious lips. Georgia gaped at him, her heartbeats accelerating more with every passing second.
"Ryan..," she started but he dipped his head more towards her.
"I can arouse you more. I can please you more," he said, crashing his lips to hers in a hungry and wild kiss. His fingers gripped her head in a firm hold, to enable him to dominate the kiss. Georgia gasped at the suddenness of it all. His hot mouth made her tingle all over, as a strange need gripped her abdomen making her skin crawl with a need to get more out of the kiss. She never knew that a kiss could make her feel so alive having never been kissed before. Ryan didn't waste a single second. He took advantage of her parted lips and plunged deep into his mouth. As his hot mouth devoured her, playing havoc with her senses, his body crushed her against himself.
Ryan was drowned in her addictive sweetness, his mouth tasted her hot tongue, hungrily ravishing all the recesses of her mouth. "Can't you kiss me, Georgia?" He growled angrily, his mouth releasing hers for a second. Georgia immediately came to her senses. What was she doing? Why did she allow Ryan to steal her first kiss?
"Ryan, this isn't right, please," said Georgia, pushing him away. Ryan was more furious than before.
"Kissing me is wrong while you can go out with other guys?" He accused her releasing her instantly as if stung. Georgia gaped at him.
"I don't go out with other guys. What's gotten into you Ryan?" She gritted out, feeling extremely annoyed with his strange behavior. She was in a hurry to get her data from Alpine farm before Phil arrived to drive her to the hospital. Her dad was being released today and needed to be brought home from the hospital and now she was stuck with Ryan and his strange behavior.
"You. You have gone into my head. How can you lie to me, Georgia? I chose you to be my partner but it seems that you have no wish to be with me, let alone do the project with me," yelled Ryan. Georgia gaped at him.
"I don't lie. Despite the hardships that I'm going through, I'm trying to do the project just to please you. I don't live such a comfortable life as you do, Ryan but you know what? I don't expect you to understand my situation. I hate you for stealing my first kiss," she yelled back and ran leaving Ryan standing confused and gaping back at her. What did she say? How was it her first kiss when he saw her with that handsome guy earlier? He was more confused than he was ever before. He had to find out about the two boys she was seen with. Who were they? He was sure that he'd never seen the guy who drove Georgia in the morning. He didn't look like he belonged to Fordsville. In fact, he resembled Georgia in his looks which was strange. His behavior also didn't seem like that of a boyfriend. So who was he?
Georgia felt the tears pricking at her eyes. Ryan's harsh words, the way he ignored her very existence for the last few days and now his punishing kiss hurt Georgia even more than before. She repented agreeing to do the project with him. She had started liking him, she had started considering him a friend despite belonging to rival families. But it all had changed now! What were they exactly? Why did he kiss her? Why did he say weird words? Why did he make her feel like he wanted her? Millions of questions erupted into her mind as she half-heartedly gathered data for the topic at hand. After two hours of hard work, Phil arrived to pick her up. Georgia looked around and her heart jumped with excitement seeing Ryan leaning against his car, with a brooding look on his face. She had no idea that he was still here.
She ignored him completely and as she was about to climb into Phil's car, Ryan stopped her midway. Georgia gasped seeing him again in front of her. "Go home, Ryan," she sighed.
"No, first tell me which topic you just covered?" He asked, eyeing Phil who climbed down from his car and walked towards them.
"I've covered the third topic today," she answered curtly. Phil came and stood beside both of them, glaring at Ryan.
"Is this guy bothering you Georgie?" He asked with fury.
"No no, Phil. This is my project partner, Ryan. He's just asking for an update, " said Georgia.
"And may I ask who this is?" Gritted out Ryan.
"My brother, Phil, " she shrugged. "Aunt Dorothy's son," she added. The two boys nodded at one another. Ryan looked too dumbfounded to even speak a single word.
Turning towards her brother, she said urgently. "Let's go Phil. Dad's getting released today, isn't he?" She asked. Phil nodded.
"Yeah, let's hurry. We need to get an oxygen cylinder to keep at home for emergencies," said Phil.
"We'll get that only at the marketplace. Let's order first before we go to the hospital, " said Georgia. Phil nodded and walked towards his car. Georgia glanced at a pale and dumbstruck Ryan but didn't say a word. She was still mad at him for his weird behavior. She followed her brother to the car.
Seeing her go, Ryan realized what he had done. The guy she was with was her brother? So her dad really was ill and he had doubted her for so long? His mouth still tingled with the kiss that he had stolen from her. So he was her first kiss, after all!
He rushed after her. "Georgia, wait," he said but Phil had already started driving. Georgia gave him an anguished look, her eyes full of hurt, yet there was a dash of anger in them too. Ryan watched her, too spell bound to move as she disappeared with her brother.
The rest of the day, guilt ate him up till he was unable to stay at home any longer. He drove towards Andrew's house. However on his way he saw Georgia's dad being taken home in an ambulance accompanied by Georgia and Brian. They were followed by Phil and another boy who looked similar. Ryan felt more guilty and was determined to talk to her and apologize. But would he apologize for kissing her? No, never. He enjoyed it and wasn't at all sorry for kissing her. He would love to kiss her again!
