Troy And Athena (Forbidden Love Series Book 15)

Athena opened her eyes the next morning to the warm sunshine filtering through the room. It was a new day. A day which was full of hope and promise. She turned to find Troy still asleep beside her. She smiled tenderly at him. Last night they were both insatiable. Things went passionate and out of control as Troy took her again and again. She was sure that the last time they forgot to use protection, she had surely conceived. 

The thought made her love Troy all the more. The feeling of carrying his child in her womb made her feel complete. She didn't wake him up and went for a shower. Today she was free to go to work, the work which she loved so much. She had learnt so much in the last one year and there was still so much more to learn. After a shower, she came out to get dressed but as she approached the bed, Troy's hand shot out and he pulled her into the bed. 

"Troy, I've to go to work today, " she reminded him but he wasn't in any mood to listen. He pulled the towel out of her and crashed his lips to hers while his hand roamed freely all over her damp body, eliciting moans out of her. His hand cupped her already wet folds and pushed his finger inside making her gasp with pleasure. After thrusting in and out in a passionate rhythm, he thrust his hardness into her soft folds, till they climaxed together. It was much later when Troy dropped her at work and she was already ten minutes late because of him. 

"I'll come down for lunch if I can," said Troy, waving and driving to work. The whole day, Athena had a happy smile pasted on her face. Although Troy couldn't make it to lunch, yet Athena didn't mind. They had a date in the evening after all. The day went well, she received a hike in her salary due to her hard work and by the end of the day, she was in the best of spirits, eagerly looking forward to her date with Troy. 

He arrived to pick her up from work. "You can get ready in fifteen minutes. I'll inform my parents, " he said, going in search of his mom. Athena rushed upstairs to get ready, all the tiredness evaporating from her body. She chose a beautiful red halter-neck dress, wanting to look her best. She was feeling carefree and happy and red was the color that suited her mood the most. 

After a few minutes, Troy drove her towards the Strip. "What are we gonna do tonight?" She asked with curiosity. Troy smiled. 

"You'll see. It's something I'd never done before because I had no one to do it with," he just admitted with a smirk making Athena all the more curious. 

She however, didn't need to wait long as Troy took her to The Venetian to experience their gondola rides. Soon they climbed into a gondola and the singing gondolier piloted it expertly as they floated beneath bridges, beside cafes, under balconies, all the while coasting down the Grand Canal. The next few minutes, they surrendered to the romance of a live serenade from their one-of-a-kind vantage point. Afterwards they took a selfie with their gondolier as a perfect souvenir and walked hand in hand towards a restaurant to enjoy dinner together.

"Did you enjoy that?" Asked Troy, hopefully. Athena nodded excitedly. Of course she did.

"I loved it!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands. Troy smiled happily, leading her towards an open patio restaurant where they could enjoy traditional Mexican food while watching the gondolas glide by on the canal. The food was a joy to the tastebuds and they enjoyed every bite of their meal. Afterwards they went back to Troy's parents house, feeling relaxed and blissfully happy.

The next few days went by amidst lots of planning. Troy's mom took Athena shopping. The whole morning they had fun, shopping, eating amidst lots of bonding. It was a Saturday and since Athena didn't need to go to work, they ordered the wedding dress too. It was afternoon when they returned with loads of stuff. Troy's mom however wasn't satisfied at all. She took Athena for ordering the cake as well as the wedding rings and the bridal bouquet. The wedding  would take place at one of the most exotic and premier golf resorts of Vegas of which Troy's dad was a lifetime member and patron. Therefore they didn't need to worry about the decorations and the food as they would be taken care of. 

Troy however didn't leave any opportunity to take Athena out on a little date. With only a few days left until the wedding, the guests started pouring in. They all loved Athena and planned a bridal shower party for her. Troy introduced Athena to all his friends and their families. Athena of course knew Laurence, Arianna and the kids but although she was newly introduced to the others, she felt very much at home and well accepted by everyone else. 

Troy and Athena brought all the stuff that was locked in her granny's house. With only two days to go to the wedding, Athena was being pampered by the whole family and she loved it. She had never felt so loved as she did now. It didn't feel like she had no family. 

It was evening and the whole family as well as their relatives were all gathered in the huge living room. There was laughter and good food. It was a time to catch up and enjoy. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Troy went to get it. Athena squealed with surprise seeing Brandon walk in with a grin accompanied by the most beautiful woman on earth, which she believed should be his Camilla. 

Brandon opened his arms out to her and she ran into them, hugging him tightly. "Brand, I thought you'd not come!" She said with a grin.

"How could I not, Athens? Who'll walk you down the aisle then, silly?" He asked her fondly. "Well! Troy, Athena, meet Camilla," he introduced. "Camilla, this is Athena and her fiancé, Troy, " said Brandon. Athena smiled at her.

"Hi, so glad to meet you at last," she told Camilla who looked at her with jealousy. 

Brandon whisked Athena aside to talk to her while Troy stood with Camilla. "Come inside, Camilla, " he said, noticing the way she glared at the two of them, whispering animatedly in a corner. 

"Thanks," said Camilla, walking into the living room but her eyes were glued to Brandon and Athena. 

"Can I ask you a question?" Asked Camilla with confusion clearly reflected on her face. 

"Yes, of course you can," said Troy. 

"If you love your fiancé, how are you not feeling jealous like I'm feeling?" She asked. Troy laughed. 

"You don't need to feel jealous of those two. They're harmless. I too used to feel jealous initially but then I figured out their relationship. They both are more or less like siblings only from different set of parents. They have known each other since kindergarten and are attached at the hip. They're inseparable. Athena doesn't have any family. Brandon is like family to her," said Troy with a shrug. Camilla's jaws dropped hearing it all. She hadn't believed Brandon but after seeing them together and listening to Troy, she realized that Athena wasn't what she had imagined her to be. 

"But they were engaged, weren't they?" Asked Camilla. 

"Yeah, that was when Brandon was going through hell. He might have told you about his girlfriend, Sarah?" Asked Troy. Camilla nodded. "Brandon was driving their car when they had the accident in which Sarah died. He couldn't get over the heartache and guilt for years and it was Athena who helped him out. So he got engaged to her but avoided her for the next few months till I broke up their stupid engagement," said Troy. Athena had told him everything about Brandon's life and it had helped him understand their relationship better.

Camilla's face fell and her heart went out to Brandon. He'd gone through so much at such a young age. It was time that he found the happiness that he deserved. Brandon came back with Athena  with a happy smile after discussing the status of his relationship with Camilla. Troy gave them a curious glance and Athena grinned at him, which meant that he would get an update later.

"I haven't bought my tuxedo yet, Troy and neither has Camilla bought a dress for the wedding. We're going shopping," said Brandon. 

"We could also go with you," said Troy. They all went out in Brandon's car to the mall nearby from where Troy had bought his tux. Athena helped Camilla with her dress and then they had dinner together. After that talk with Troy Camilla opened up to Athena better and the four of them had a good time together.
