A Hopeless Pursuit (Forbidden Love Series Book 10)

 

"Let's have a bridal shower party, tomorrow mom," said Serenity but Lisa shook her head.

"Lizzy relax and enjoy your wedding, " said Serenity, shutting her up. Arianna chuckled at all the drama.

"You just sit back and get pampered," said Arianna as they all planned the bridal shower spa party at Parker Suites, Las Vegas.

"We'll head for a couple-massage, what say?" Liam asked Lisa hopefully.

"No way bro. Men aren't allowed," squealed Carmella, pushing Liam outside.

"Mom, please?" Pleaded Serenity.

"Okay, but Lisa shouldn't be stressed," said Eugene Parker and they all cheered. Sofia broke into a dance and Walter stared at her.

"Hey kid, how did you come in?" She glared at him, pushing him out. She rolled her eyes at William, standing outside the door, peering through the keyhole.

The whole day, Liam looked for an opportunity with his fiancée but with the entire family around it was difficult to even steal a kiss. When his mom came out and went to the living room, he followed her like a lost puppy. He sat grumbling beside his mom.

"Did you need to call everyone mom? I should have got married before coming here," he grumbled.

"Relax Liam. It's just a matter of a few days. After your wedding, everyone will go back. Let them enjoy a little," his mom comforted him.

"I can't even talk to Lisa. They're throwing me out all the time," he pouted. His mom smiled.

"I'll serve your dinner early. You can take her to your room. Happy?" Said his mom, getting up. Liam's eyes shone with happiness.

"Yes, mom. You're the best," he said, giving his mom a kiss on her cheek. His mom kept her promise.

"Girls, let Lisa have her dinner and get some sleep. She's exhausted. I don't want her falling sick, " said Eugene Parker. "You continue with your plans. You can update her tomorrow morning. " She led Lisa to the dining table where Kathy served her dinner. Liam wanted to have his dinner in his room since he didn't want to be teased. They would all know why he was in a hurry to have dinner and whisk his fiancée away. He didn't want Jaxon's tips. After dinner, he waited impatiently for Lisa. Kathy came to clear his dinner away.

"What's Lisa doing? Can you send her please?" Asked Liam impatiently.

"She just finished her dinner. I'll send her up, wait, " she promised and left. After ten long minutes,  Lisa came up to their room. Liam was relieved to finally see her. He quickly locked his door in case one of his nephews or nieces came to sleep in their room!

He pulled Lisa into his arms and they stayed like that for a minute or two. "I hate this week. I've missed you the whole day. Couldn't you get away even for a minute?" He groaned into her neck.

"What will you do tomorrow then? They'll whisk me away to Parker suites, Vegas for the bridal shower party, " she informed him.

"Ohno, these parties are such a waste!" He whined.

"I'll make it up to you, Liam, " she said, stroking the soft hair at the nape of his neck.

"Really? Then why waste time? Let's start now, " he said with excitement.

"I need a shower first, please, " Lisa pleaded.

"Allow me, baby," he said with a bow. Lisa giggled as he picked her up in his arms and carried her to their en-suite. He discarded hers as well as his own clothes. Then after filling the huge bathtub, he led her towards it, sitting inside with her on his lap. He entered her slowly, thrusting deep inside her while his mouth captured hers in a lingering yet passionate kiss.

"I'm insatiable around you, " he sighed into her neck, sucking the sensitive skin 
hungrily.

"Liam, don't give me love bites, please. They'll tease me the whole day," said Lisa with horror,

"I will. Let everyone know at the party that you belong to me," said Liam.

"Mr. Possessive Caveman, it's an all women's party. Okay?" She said,

"Whatever, now shut up and kiss me," ordered Liam. Lisa obliged him with a hot kiss. After finding their release, they bathed one another and then Liam dried her as well as himself.

"Are you ready for another round?" He asked, already hard again. Lisa shook her head.

"I'm tired, please. Put your aroused friend to sleep now," she said with a grin, wearing her clothes. Liam groaned and wore his clothes. They cuddled and dozed off to sleep.

The next morning Lisa was surrounded by the girl gang. It was a lunch party and they would need to reach the venue at 11 o'clock. River helped her chose a dress to wear for the party. It was a blush pink, sleeveless, flowing dress which swirled around her ankles The bodice was embellished with silver crystals attributing to the charm. Carmella fixed her hair in a soft updo. Liam came into the room when she was done getting ready for the event. He pulled her into his arms while everyone gasped out "oohs and awws" leaving Lisa blushing furiously.

 

They all teased Liam but he was oblivious to them. He pecked Lisa's mouth and stared at her. "Come home soon, okay?" He told her and she nodded at him.

"Relax bro. We'll do the Bachelorette party tomorrow with everyone, " said Serenity, pinching Liam's cheeks. They all left for the venue. The kids were left at home with their nannies. The boys continued with their game of soccer on the sprawling grounds of Parker mansion. The men were busy at the BBQ pit, sipping beer and goofing around. It was a much-awaited time, a time for bonding for the whole family. Everyone wanted to get the maximum enjoyment out of this opportunity before returning to their hectic lives.

The presidential suite of Parker Suites with its private deck was decorated luxuriously for the party. They were given refreshing drinks and appetizers upon their arrival. Adequate deck chairs and loungers were arranged for all. Afterward, they all had to change into fluffy bathrobes and given spa treatments. Lisa relaxed into the pampering treatments. Serenity sent pictures and video recordings to Liam every now and then to keep him satisfied. Lisa was showered with lots of gifts making her feel like a princess. Later a gala lunch was served with an array of healthy dishes to choose from. There was halibut with fried rice, silky lentil soup, fresh ravioli filled with herbs and ricotta cheese, Ancho-Chili spiced Salmon Tacos, Mediterranean chicken kebab salad, sautéed vegetables, and flourless chocolate cakes with peanut butter mousse. After lunch, Liam's mom and aunt Amanda who was Tyler's mom, left for home with Lisa since she was exhausted. The rest of them enjoyed the after-party and cocktails. 

Liam whisked Lisa away to his room and locked his door once inside. He outstretched his arms for her silently watching her. Lisa ran into his arms like it was home for her. He wrapped his arms around her lovingly, holding her tightly against him, his face embedded into her neck.

"I missed you so much, " he breathed into her neck.

"I missed you more. Did you have your lunch? Ours was so lavish that I didn't want to eat without you. I would have enjoyed more with you," said Lisa, stroking his hair.

"You care for me so much," he said with raw emotion in his tone.

"Yes more than you'll ever know, " she admitted.

"You're looking so beautiful, Lisa,  just like an angel, my angel," he told her.

Lisa smiled at him warmly. "Thank you, " she said shyly.

"Thank you won't do, baby. Give me a quick kiss before the battalion comes to whisk you away from me," said Liam, holding onto her chin, turning her face up to meet his hungry mouth. The kiss was deep and passionate, it showed how much they had missed one another. After a cuddling session, Lisa changed out of her exotic gown and lay down to rest a bit. She soon fell into a blissful sleep out of sheer exhaustion. No one disturbed her. Liam too sat down beside her and soon dozed off with her.

It was late in the afternoon when they woke up when there was a knock on the door.  The final fitting was scheduled in a few minutes. Lisa and Liam went to the main building for the ordeal. Afterward, they planned for a Bachelorette party to be held the next day in the banquet hall of Parker mansion.

"Can we skip it?" Asked Liam. He couldn't see the need for so many parties.

"Shut up and enjoy, little brother," said Carmella. Liam stuck out his tongue at her and Lisa giggled seeing him. It was evening already and they jointly prepared dinner, giving Kathy a break. Lisa learned a few basic dishes and helped them too while Liam and all the men played a game of tennis on their lawns. Lisa and Liam were excited as tomorrow was the last pre-wedding party and then it was their wedding.
