Chapter Fifteen
He pulled her close to his body, "Open your eyes, Aria, " he whispered in a raspy desire filled voice. Her soft body against the bare length of his own body was making him more aroused than he ever had been in his entire life.
''No s sir, I can't open my eyes,'' she said as her breath hitched when she felt his hot bare body against her own.
''Why not? I want you to see me,'' he whispered, biting into her earlobe.
"No, I can't, you're naked, " she whispered, shaking her head. Laurence laughed at her cuteness.
"I want to be the first, last and the only naked man you'd ever see in your life Aria, " he said, bringing his lips close to hers and grinding his arousal into her softness.
Arianna opened her eyes wide. What did he say? She looked at her with disbelief. "What?" She asked with a blank expression. Then her face blushed crimson when she looked down and saw his massive erection, his sexy v-line, all pressed flush against her. Her breath was erratic and she didn't know what to do.
The intercom buzzed and he swore angrily. He released her and picking up his towel, he wrapped it around himself. Then he took the call,"Yes, Grace, " he barked at his receptionist. Arianna ran towards the door and out of his room.
"Oh. No send him up to the conference room on the tenth floor after ten minutes," he barked with displeasure. He was too angry that Mr. Cameron chose this very instant to make an appearance at his office. But it was important and he had to meet him. He noticed with disappointment that Arianna had escaped. Well he would deal with her another time then. He hurriedly wore his clothes and rushed off to the conference room on the tenth floor. Arianna got up from her cubicle to follow him but he shook his head.
"You don't need to come along," he said. She nodded and sat down to continue with the task that he had mailed her in the morning. Was he angry with her? Maybe that's why he wasn't allowing her to accompany him.
Arianna couldn't concentrate on her work as images of Laurence's hot body kept filling her mind. She had never seen a naked guy in her life and she blushed at what was to come. Thankfully the phone call saved her life! She was confused by what he told her. He wanted to be the first, last and only naked man that she saw! How was that even possible? Did it mean that he was serious about her?
With these thoughts she took out her lunchbox and hungrily ate the sandwiches that aunt Henrietta had packed for her. Laurence hadn't returned the next five hours. It was seven in the evening, so she wrapped up for the day and went down the elevators and out of the building.
"Good evening ma'am. I've been strictly asked to drop you home," said a courteous Tim. Arianna didn't argue. He was just doing his duty.
"Good evening Tim, " she said climbing into the car. Tim drove her home.
"Sir would be late?" She couldn't help but ask.
"No sir wasn't feeling well so he already left for the day," informed Tim. Arianna was concerned.
"Is it anything serious?" She asked with worry.
"No no, don't worry ma'am," he said stopping in front of her house. Arianna thanked him and went home with a heavy heart. The weekend was here and she wouldn't be able to see Laurence for the next two days.
"What happened to you? Why such a long face?" Asked a grinning Weston who opened the door for her.
"Not as long as yours, duh," she answered with a grin. They shared a sibling type of bonding and Arianna cherished their interactions. It was as if they were her real family.
She went inside and uncle David looked at her with a sober and serious face. "Arianna come and sit here. I've something to tell you," he said solemnly. Her aunt Henrietta also sat down beside him. So did Isabella who was helping make dinner. Weston too came and sat down. Arianna was worried. Were they asking her to leave?
"Yes uncle David?" She asked with puzzled expression, sitting down opposite him.
"Your old landlord and neighbour came to Isabella's cafe today looking for you since you too used to work there, " informed uncle David and Arianna was instantly alerted. They've found her? Maybe uncle David didn't want her to live here anymore as it would endanger their lives too.
"Your dad had a fatal accident last week, Arianna. He was too drunk and was hit by a speeding car near your home. Your landlord and neighbours performed his last rites as they couldn't locate you and they couldn't keep his body much longer, " said uncle David. Arianna sat stunned by the news. So maybe the day she left, her father had an accident.
She didn't have any tears in her eyes at the news. It didn't mean much to her. Her dad had actually died as a human being long back. She sighed heavily.
"Dear, are you okay?" Asked aunt Henrietta.
"Yes, " she said hoarsely. So now she legally she was an orphan. She actually had become an orphan the day her mom died.
"Your landlord was asking you to vacate the room and take away the belongings that was there," said uncle David.
"There isn't anything much left apart from broken utensils and torn and tattered clothes. The furnitures are all in a shabby state. I've already packed and brought with me my books, my mom's memories and my own stuff," she said quietly.
"Then they can do whatever they want with it," said aunt Henrietta.
"Do you wish to go there once?" Asked uncle David.
"No, " said Arianna getting up and dragging her feet to her room. She felt numb but emotionless. She freshened up and went down to help with dinner.
Isabella and aunt Henrietta had already finished making dinner so they all sat down to eat. Afterwards she cleared the table and did the dishes and went up to her room to sleep. All her memories of her dad since childhood flooded her mind. Then followed the memories of him after that dreadful day when he lost his company. She didn't shed any tear. It was late when she went off to sleep.
The next morning she woke up late to her phone vibrating with an incoming call from an unknown number. Who could it be on a Saturday morning? Had her landlord located her? She took the call.
"Hello, Arianna here," she said into the phone.
"Aria," breathed Laurence's husky voice and all her sleepiness left her and she sat up straight on her bed.
"Y yes s sir," she stammered nervously. What was wrong with her?
"Get ready in two hours. We're leaving for London. Pack up enough to last three days," he said clearly.
Arianna's mouth hung open. London? What would she do in London alone with him? She blushed as naughty thoughts filled her head. "What? Have you heard me or not Aria?" Growled Laurence impatiently.
"Y yes s sir," she said nervously.
"Good. See you then in two hours," he said disconnecting the call. Arianna stared at the phone. She had to pack and get ready in two hours and then inform her family. God! And she thought that he was unwell!
She rushed to Isabella's room. "Hey girl, lend me your trolley case. I need it just now, " she said jumping up and down with nervousness.
"So early on a Saturday morning where are you off to?" Asked Isabella, taking out her suitcase from her walk-in closet.
"Sir called me just now. I have to accompany him to London on a business trip for three days," she said as professionally as she could. But there was no fooling Isabella.
Her eyebrows shot up at the news. She squealed with delight. "Strictly a business trip right?" She asked.
"Yes, now give me the suitcase," said Arianna.
"So how many times did he kiss you?" She asked.
"I'm not answering that," said Arianna.
"So he has kissed you, right?" Asked a leech called Isabella. "Your cheeks are answering my question. If you want the suitcase, spill," she blackmailed.
"Okay, twice. Now give me. I'm getting late. Will update you when I return," she promised a gaping Isabella, snatching the suitcase and rushing back to her room. Before Isabella could follow her, Weston stormed into her room.
Arianna quickly packed her stuff. Afterwards she took a quick shower and got ready for her trip. She wore a pair of pale blush pink denims pairing it with a white crepe top and a matching blush pink soft jacket. She left her hair untied and went downstairs with her luggage and handbag.
"Are you going somewhere dear?" Asked a puzzled aunt Henrietta while her uncle David looked at her with the same expression.
"Yes I just got a call from my boss. I have to accompany him on a business trip to London for three days," she informed them.
"Okay. Take care of yourself and don't leave on an empty stomach. Eat your breakfast first," said aunt Henrietta. Arianna obliged and after finishing off her breakfast she went out of the house. Laurence's black Porsche was waiting for her right in front of her house.
