Chapter Thirteen
"I don't know how to, " she whispered shyly. She had never had any experience with kissing nor had she seen any movie. Her phone was also a very basic one without any internet connection. It was only after she went to Isabella's house, did she get a smartphone. Laurence smiled at her innocence.
"I'll teach you how," he said, tracing her cheek down to her creamy neck. Thankfully his phone started ringing before she could answer. He reluctantly accepted the call but his hand held her wrist to prevent her from escaping. Arianna kept still as she didn't want to disrupt an important phone call.
"Yes, Stephen, tell me," he growled into the phone. Stephen Hawking was his Public Relations Officer who would accompany him to the lunch meeting today.
"Oh it escaped my mind. I'll be there in ten minutes," he said, disconnecting he call.
"I have a meeting with Mr Cameron, the CEO of Queensgate Jewels right now, " he said, hurriedly fixing his hair.
"I'll be ready in a minute, sir," she offered.
"No, you don't need to come along. Mr Cameron doesn't have a very good reputation with women and I don't want you to meet him. I'll be back in half an hour. I'll bring our lunch, " he said. Arianna nodded and left his room. It was no point arguing with him. He would never listen.
Laurence left for his meeting after a few minutes and Arianna sat drafting the minutes of the morning's meeting. However, she couldn't concentrate upon anything after that passionate first kiss that she received from Laurence. His lips, his scent, his arms was all she could think of. But she had to get some work done else she'd lose her job. So she sat answering the emails when Laurence returned with a big packet in his hand. He had hurried with his meeting and returned early since Mr Cameron had another place to goto. Laurence had already decided that he would excuse himself before lunch. He wanted to have lunch with Arianna. He knew that she would skip lunch if he didn't get lunch for themselves and he couldn't see her stay hungry the whole day. She had started to mean a lot to him with every passing day and he could feel himself falling head over heels for her.
"Come into my room. I've brought us lunch," he ordered on his way inside.
"Yes sir," said Arianna, going inside his room. The kiss was all her mind could think about the moment she set her eyes upon him. She closed the door after her and shyly walked up to the sofa where he was sitting, her cheeks flushed.
"Sit down Aria, " he said, watching her quietly. He wanted to kiss her more, it was the only thing on his mind throughout his meeting. She was so addictive now that he had a taste of her.
Arianna sat down quietly on the far end of the sofa leaving a lot of space between them. His eyes took in her long, smooth and creamy legs as the burgundy coloured skirt rode up when she sat down. She fidgeted nervously seeing his minute scrutiny. He took out two delicious looking wraps from the packet and handed one on a paper plate out to her. She took it and thanked him shyly, not looking him in the eye. She couldn't calm her jumpy heart and mind. He might read the longing in her eyes if she looked. However she was aware of his intense gaze upon her.
"Eat, aren't you hungry?" He asked, biting into his wrap. She looked up at him, seeing his dark erotic eyes staring piercingly at her. With nervous fingers she peeled her wrap and bit into it.
"This is very good," she said quietly and Laurence smiled.
"There's more," he said, handing her a cupcake and a tetrapack of orange juice. She took them and kept them on her paper plate. Laurence suddenly stretched his hand towards her.
"May I?" He asked softly but didn't wait for her answer. His thumb and forefinger touched her lips and wiped away the white cheesy sauce from her plump lips. He licked the white sauce off from his fingers, his gaze not leaving her face and she blushed crimson.
"Fuck it!" He swore and simply moved closer and pulled her onto his lap, smashing his lips to hers in a wild, passionate and hungry kiss. He glided his hot tongue into her parted mouth taking advantage of her surprised gasp. His hot mouth tasted her, eliciting a moan from her. His hands moulded her ripe and young body closer to his chest, not leaving a single inch between themselves. His growing erection poked into her making her acutely aware of his state. Hers was no better. Aria had never felt this crazy throbbing down there before. She felt herself go soaking wet as he continued his torture, his hand going to her hips as he grinded his erection against her.
"Kiss me Aria just like I kissed you," he demanded hotly, the moment he released her delicious mouth to catch his breath.
"I sir, I, " she stammered, unsure of kissing her boss. Laurence waited patiently feeling disappointed that she maybe didn't want to kiss him, maybe she didn't like him the way he liked her. He placed her back down with disappointment and started eating quietly, avoiding her eyes.
Arianna felt a tug at her heart seeing his disappointed face. She couldn't overcome her shyness much as she had wanted to. She had a big crush on him or was it more than a crush that she felt for him? She wasn't sure. She ate her cupcake and drank her juice quietly and got up to clear the table. She noticed that Laurence hadn't spoken a word since that passionate kiss. She felt bad of her own inadequacies but didn't know how to approach him. He was her boss after all and it wasn't appropriate to kiss her boss at her offfice.
She quietly left his room and sat in her cubicle. Would he lose interest in her now? Would he not kiss her any more? She felt disappointed at the thought. She loved his kisses and wanted more but she couldn't hope. She was a poor employee with nothing to retain the interest of a gorgeous billionaire. Maybe this was for the best. Maybe if she ignored him for a few days, keeping their interactions to a basic minimum, then he would lose interest in her. The decision however caused more pain than happiness.
The rest of the day went by with no interactions between the two. Laurence was upset and sent her work through mail. He marched towards the meeting with his designing team that was due in a few minutes. Arianna followed him quietly with her tab. They went to the conference room of the Designs Department. The meeting stretched for an hour and Arianna didn't utter a single word at it. She just kept noting down the minutes of the meeting quietly.
Afterwards, she went on a tour of the office with him. It was nearly 5 o'clock in the evening when they returned back to their floor. "You can leave Arianna. I'm staying late. Tim will drop you home," he said looking at his laptop.
"That won't be necessary sir. Thank you for your kindness. I'll take the bus home," she said. She didn't need to be dropped. She had struggled alone to survive without any support all her life, coming from a humble background. She didn't want to get used to such luxuries.
"No, if you don't listen I shall carry you to the car and drop you home myself, " he said threateningly, looking straight into her eyes daring her to defy him. Arianna wanted to defy. She wanted him to carry her to his car and drive her home. She wanted to kiss him back and show him how much she loved him. Loved him? It wasn't a crush then? It was love? Did love feel this way? Why did she have to fall in love with her boss?
Arianna nodded quietly while Laurence called Tim and asked him to drop Arianna home. She left his room and picking up her handbag, she disappointedly walked towards the elevators. Going downstairs, she climbed into Laurence's waiting Bugatti. Tim dropped her home and she thanked him and walked away dejectedly up to her house.
"God what do I do now?" She mumbled to herself. She knew that billionaire's usually played with women and however nice Laurence was, he was a billionaire after all. She would be devastated if she gave in to the desires of her heart. The heart doesn't realize what reality actually is. It just knows how to love but she had to listen to her mind instead of her heart.
Laurence was way out of her league and she couldn't hope for him. She had to control her feelings for him. She went inside the quiet house. Where were everyone? She found a note for her on the dining table. Hudson had taken them shopping for his upcoming wedding. She went upto her room feeling lonely and unwanted.
