Chapter Fifteen
She finished cooking dinner along with Amanda and Carmella. Taking a shower, River changed into a blush pink, sleeveless A-line chiffon dress and left her hair untied, just as Tyler liked it. Carmella chuckled when she saw her,"Excited?" She asked and River nodded shyly.
"He'll ravish you tonight, I'm sure," she Carmella, winking at River. She coloured at her implications.
"Shut up. No he won't," said River.
"I know my brother. He's surely gone crazy being away from you for a week," said Carmella with another wink.
River was saved having to answer her as the doorbell rang and Carmella ran to open it. River's heartbeats thundered against her chest as she waited with bated breath for Carmella to open it.
Carmella opened it and in walked Tyler with a bruise on his forehead and another near his jaw and a week's stubble on his face. His eyes went straight to River and he stopped dead in his tracks and opened his arms wide for her. She ran into them and clung to him and he embedded his face in her neck.
"Missed me?" He asked, inhaling her.
"Yes," she confessed.
"Mom, I'm taking her home," he announced and picked her up in his arms.
"Tyler what are you doing? I can walk, everyone's watching," she told him, shyly as Carmella stared at her with a 'I told you so look', a smile tugging at her lips.
"Tyler at least eat dinner and go. River's made it for you," coaxed his mom.
"Pack it up and give it in the car. We're waiting outside, " he said stubbornly and his mom didn't argue further. She packed the food while Tyler walked with her outside to his car.
"Are you hurt?" She asked him sitting on his passenger seat. He climbed onto the driver's seat and stretched himself.
"A little but I'm fine now. I've seen you and I'm feeling better already, " he told her, looking at her from head to toe.
"Is your legal problem solved?" She asked and he nodded.
"Yes, we solved it. Uncle Eric helped," he told her, looking at her with dark eyes.
Carmella came rushing out of the house with their packed dinner in her hands. "Here, enjoy," she said as she handed River the packed boxes of food in a carry bag.
"Thanks," River said and she waved at her and walked back to the house.
Tyler drove out of their garage and headed home, to his house. "I didn't take my stuff," she said in dismay.
"You won't need anything tonight. Tomorrow morning we'll shift your stuff," he told her, staring at the road.
River looked at him incredulously. Why wouldn't she need anything? How would she survive without her stuff? They entered his mansion compound and he parked the car inside the garage. They came out and he unloaded his luggage from the car and then led her towards the main door.
Unlocking it, he led her inside and closed the door shut. He left his luggage in the foyer and again picked her up, bridal style and started walking towards the staircase.
"Tyler, you're hurt. Please put me down. I can walk," she pleaded. She didn't want him more hurt than he already was.
"I'm fine but I won't be for long. I need you. I need to be inside you, now, " he said with fire burning in his eyes as he cast his smouldering gaze upon her.
Her hands went around his neck and she embedded her face into his neck and kissed him there. He groaned and pulled her tighter and strode towards his bedroom. It was a huge room, furnished in beige and brown mostly. Her whole apartment might be of this size!
She saw a big open deck outside with a cosy loveseat overlooking the greenery of his flower gardens in his backyard.
He deposited her on his bed and went towards the glass windows and pulled the drapes, closing all views and giving them privacy. Carmella was right. He wanted to make love tonight, she thought.
She too wanted him, she missed him so badly. He discarded his shirt and trousers and she saw his lean, tanned, muscular and absolutely gorgeous body clad only in black briefs approaching her like a predator towards his prey. His hot gaze devoured her as he came on the bed and towards her.
He hovered over her with his elbows supporting him and he looked deep into her eyes. "How much have you missed me, River?" He whispered, his lips skimming hers back and forth as he waited for her answer.
"I've missed you every second that you were away, Tyler, " she told him and his breath hitched and kissed her neck.
"Tell me you love me?" He pleaded. He wanted to hear it so badly that she loved him. He had missed her at Frankfurt and couldn't sleep a single day at night. He was upset with everyone including her, so he didn't take anyone's call. He felt lonely and exiled, with no River to love. Not once did she tell everyone that she wanted to accompany him. He was hurt and went alone to Frankfurt.
But not anymore. He would take her everywhere with him. He wouldn't spend a single night alone. He married her and he would have her every night, whenever he wanted.
"I love you Tyler. I always have since I met you, nine years ago. There never were any other men in my life. You are my first and last in everything. If you hadn't married me, I would have stayed unmarried all my life. I didn't want to and I couldn't move on even in nine years. It's always been you. Only you whom I love," she told him, looking into his eyes. Her hands touched his cheek lovingly and she stared into his eyes and spoke truthfully from her heart.
"I don't feel anything for Lucas. He treats me as his sister-in-law. He calls me his sister-in-law even before we married. He loves a girl named Violet who doesn't love him back. He had consulted me for love advice. Believe me there's nothing between me and him. In fact there never was anything between him and Meredith as well. She tried to seduce him but he never gave in. Meredith fed you all lies," she said, trying to clear all misunderstandings clouding his head.
He groaned and placed his head on her chest. "I didn't know. I'm sorry," he said, closing his eyes.
"It's ok baby, now kiss me," she said, pulling his head up for a kiss.
