Chapter Seven
Tyler was too angry to even hear her. How dare she flirt with his cousin? He pulled her to the reception of his hotel where he owned the penthouse on the top floor. He collected the keys from the reception where everyone stood up to greet him.
"One of you fetch the luggage from Lucas's car," he barked out. River felt so awkward as everyone stared at her like she was a criminal getting arrested by Tyler the great. She didn't however utter a single word. She didn't want to make him more angry than he already was.
He dragged her towards the elevators and going in, pressed the button for the top floor. They reached a beautiful lobby with only one door. River simply stared with wonder at everything. He opened the door with the keys and pulled her inside. Soon an employee brought in their luggage. Tyler closed the door, locking it after he left. He turned to her and pulled her into his arms.
"Don't you dare flirt with anyone, River. I'm not a patient man. I don't want to do something that you don't want me to do. Is that clear?" He said, looking deeply into her eyes with pure desire.
River trembled a little at the meaning of his words. What did he want to do with her? She nodded wordlessly, feeling a little frightened of his anger. Her wrist had started to bruise and she simply raised her hand to look at it.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise. Here show me," he said, his expression softening as all anger left him. He picked up her wrist and stared at the red mark he had caused. He picked her up and carried her bridal style to a bedroom.
"I can walk, Tyler please, put me down," she said, embarrassed. Her wrist was just a little bruised. Why did he need to carry her?
He placed her on the bed and went to the en-suite. He came out with a first aid box and sat down beside her. "I'm sorry," he said as he picked up her wrist and applied some soothing gel onto it, massaging it with his fingers and staring into her eyes.
She licked her lips nervously, looking at her wrist where his feather light touch was creating havoc with her senses. He groaned and abruptly left her, picking up the first aid box and going to the en-suite.
He came out within a minute. "I'll change for the 12 o'clock meeting. Do you want to watch?" He said unbuttoning his shirt. River jumped up and ran towards the door.
"Where's my room?" She asked in one breath, without looking back. He chuckled and came up behind her, holding onto the door, trapping her.
"You could share mine, " he suggested loving the blush that crept up her neck to her face.
"I'd rather spend the whole night sitting in the corridor, " she said, trying to get out to do just that.
"Come with me," he said, as he picked her hand and held it. He opened the door and led her across the living area to the opposite room.
"This is your room. Be ready in 15 minutes. We have a meeting to attend to. Wear comfortable shoes, we might go to check the property out too, " he said and she nodded.
He closed her door and left her in peace for 15 minutes. River changed into a pant suit and flat pumps like an automaton. Tyler's words kept ringing in her head.
She's mine, only mine
She loved the way he said it. Did he feel something for her? She left her hair untied just the way he said he liked. She felt the sudden desire to please him. To make him appreciate her worth and not repent his decision to appoint her as his PA.
In fifteen minutes, she was ready and opened her door. Tyler was sitting in the living room, busy typing on his laptop. He looked up and his gaze took her in, up and down her body. A smile tugged at his lips when he saw her untied hair.
"Shall we?" He asked, getting up and stuffing his laptop into it's sleek bag. They left the room, locking it well and went towards the elevators.
"This was the first hotel we built in the West. I always stay here when I visit the West, " he informed her.
"Really? How old is it, then?" She asked, as the elevator reached the ground floor.
"It's thirty years old," he stated. They went outside to a waiting car and climbed into it.
"It doesn't look so old," she said and he smiled.
"We maintain it," he said. "It was built when mom was pregnant with me."
River stared at the hotel as they left the courtyard towards the gates. "It's Regal," she said and he smiled at her. They sped off towards the office of Elite Realty group.
The meeting was fruitful and they checked the property out too. Tyler loved the property and would get back to them after consulting his lawyer.
They returned back for a quick lunch. Afterwards, Tyler met chef Christian Halford and handed him his permission. They talked to him, discussing the details of his show.
By the time he left it was already 7 o'clock in the evening. They returned to the penthouse, tired and exhausted.
River showered and wore her pajama shorts and a camisole to sleep. They already had dinner with Christian Halford and she just needed her rest. She had just climbed onto her bed when there was a knock on her door. Now what did he want?
She dragged herself up and went to check. As she opened her door, her mouth hung open to see Tyler, freshly showered, with only a towel wrapped around himself, standing at her door. Her gaze took in his droolworthy muscular chest, biceps and shoulders, damp from a shower, going down to his abs and below to the towel covering him. She could see him get aroused at her minute inspection.
Embarrassed, she looked into his dark gaze as they travelled all over her body. "D did you forget something?" She asked, in a whisper.
"Yes, my luggage might have been left here by mistake," he said, still staring at her. She could feel his gaze upon her breasts which were conspicuous since she had discarded her bra. His hot gaze caused her nipples to stand erect for him to feast upon.
"I'll get it," she said, eager to escape from his hot gaze.
"No, I'll get it," he offered and strode into her room to get his luggage. She followed to ensure that he took only his own luggage.
He pulled his luggage in the dim night lamp towards the door of her room. His foot hit the corner of a reading table. "Ahh, why did you switch off the lights?" He asked closing his eyes as the pain shot through his body.
"Sorry, I was about to sleep. Please, sit down," she said, holding his hand and making him sit on her bed.
He sat down meekly and rubbed his foot. "I'll get something to apply on that. It must be hurting," she said, turning to go to the en-suite to get a soothing cream.
"It's not my foot that's only hurting. My entire body is on fire. My entire body's hurting. I need to kiss you, River. Please," he said, holding her hand and pulling her onto his lap.
