14 Days With You (Forbidden Love Series Book 5)

A month passed by with Sera and Zion nicely fitting into their new home. River visited them a few times along with Carol. The three friends bonded with each other just like old times. They video chatted with Julianna. 

They planned a simple wedding at home two weeks later since his father couldn't go out much. Only close family and friends were invited. 

They were on their way to Huntsville to meet her parents and make peace with them. Sera didn't know how they would react but she wanted them to attend her wedding. 

Zion slept mostly on the flight and they reached Huntsville in 6 long hours. Driving to their humble home, Sera remembered all the familiar sights of Huntsville that she grew up in. She showed Zachary her college and River's grandparents' house on the way. Finally, they arrived and got down from the car.

Sebastian came out hearing the noise of a car coming to a stop outside. He stared speechlessly at Sera, Zachary and baby Zion. When he finally came to his senses, he yelled,"Mom, Sera's come home."

Steven, her older brother came rushing outside and took the luggage from her hands,"You've come home, Sera. We were worried sick about you," he said, with concern etched on his handsome face.

"You've found her? God bless you son," said her dad, coming out of the house, wiping his hands on a towel hanging from his shoulder. Tears of happiness fell from her eyes at the sight of her father. All his hair had turned salt and pepper shaded. His face had already crinkled as if he had suddenly grown old in the last two years.

She rushed forward to hug him."I'm sorry, dad," she said.

He hugged her back tightly, "No, I'm sorry princess. I couldn't be the support I should have provided you with when you needed me the most," he said,  as a tear trickled down his face. 

"You have a baby?" Shouted Sebastian happily.

A frail old face peeped from the door and Steven went to help her mom outside. She couldn't stand straight and Sera stared at her with shock. What happened to her mom?

"What happened to mom?" She asked going towards her while her father hugged Zachary and Sebastian took baby Zion from his hands. 

"Your mom had a paralytic attack on her left side. She's improving now but we can't afford her treatment, " said her dad. 

They all went inside. Sera saw that the house was in need of repairs. With her mom unwell, it was dirty too. She didn't want them to live here anymore. 

"You camme home," said her mom with a lot of effort, folding her hands to her. "Ssorryy, forrgive me, Sera,"

"No mom. Please don't. I'm the one who should be sorry. I've decided. You all are coming back with me," she said with finality in her voice. Her mom stared at her wordlessly with helpless tears in her eyes. 

She wiped her tears with a smile.

"Yes, Steven and uncle Harry could work in one of my companies. Sebastian could work as a part-time intern. You all can live at my house till aunt Ella gets better. The physiotherapist who would come for my dad could exercise her too. When she's better, we can shift all of you to a place of your own," said Zachary and Sebastian excitedly looked at his parents.

"Please dad, let's go. There's nothing here for us anyways, " said Sebastian, trying to make his dad agree.

"Yes dad, mom will never get better here," said Steven. 

"I'm taking you all back with me dad whether you like it or not," said Sera stubbornly. 

"Ok, if that's what you think is best but I don't want to trouble Zachary so much," said her dad, unhappily. 

"It's no trouble at all uncle Harry. You will be working for a living, all three of you.  You will only stay with me till aunt Ella is better. Then you can shift to the company accommodations," he said and his dad nodded. 

"Fine then. Start packing, boys," her dad said and their mom smiled with relief. 

They all played with Zion happily. Finally something exciting was happening in their lives and they were indebted to Zachary. 

After four days, they all flew back to Vegas. Sera had met River's grandparents before leaving Huntsville. She introduced Zachary and baby Zion. They were ecstatic to see her.

The next few days were the happiest in her life. Zachary enrolled Sebastian into a college nearby and Steven enrolled for online classes. Both her brothers along with her dad joined Zachary's company. 

Sera's mom and Zach's dad daily underwent physiotherapy sessions. Her mom was examined by a better doctor and her correct treatment had started. 

Everyone helped with the wedding preparations. She invited her friends, Carol, River and Julianna with their better halves. River would come alone days before the wedding to help.

Sera didn't want to join work. She had overworked all her life and now she wanted to enjoy at home, overlooking everything and looking after everyone. Zachary was happy with whatever she did. No one was there to judge her decision and she was satisfied with things as they were.

The day of the wedding arrived and a heavily pregnant Carol with River got her ready in her bedroom. Julianna helped Marina get Zion ready. The officiant would arrive in any moment and they hurried. It was a casual affair as that's how Zachary wanted it. Simple and sweet just like her. 

She wore a flowing white mermaid dress with embellished lace spaghetti straps and a matching bodice with a sweetheart neckline. It accentuated her figure and River and Carol giggled as they pulled her neckline down a bit more.

"What are you doing?" She glared at them.

"Zachary will now get married with an erection," said River and they giggled more. River mimicked his erection and danced around her as she smacked her.

"Wait till you get married, dear. I'll take my revenge, " she said, glaring.

River's face fell and she composed herself. "That will never happen, " she mumbled. 

"I'm sorry Riv. Yes it will happen and you will have your happily ever after," said Sera. 

"I've lost hope," she said and they all sighed. 

"It's when you lose hope that a miracle happens, " said Carol and they all smiled at each other. Sera's dad came in to escort her downstairs to the living room where the officiant and the groom were waiting impatiently. 

They had decorated the room with flowers and a few balloons. Sera chose red roses with white lilies arranged in a cascading bridal bouquet. 

The wedding ceremony was finally over and after he kissed his wife, they were congratulated by all. Photographs were taken of the most memorable day of their lives.

The huge dining table was laden with food. They cut the huge five tiered cake with Zion in Zachary's arms and thus started their life together as one family. 

The fourteen days that she spent with the love of her life two years ago turned into a happily ever after experience for Sera thanks to the Lord Almighty.
