Chapter Nine
Axel grinned happily and went to the kitchen to rinse his plate. He then went upstairs to his room to finish his homework.
Allen held her hand and kissed her knuckles. "Will you marry me?" He asked, feeling extremely happy inside.
Hazel simply stared at him as if in a stance. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to marry him yet was scared of what Nicholas might do to him.
"You don't have a choice, darling," said Allen and she blushed at his nickname.
"I don't want Nicholas to harm you and Axel, " she said, softly.
"He will lose hope if we get married and stay married," Allen insisted. He wanted to give her the picture that it was no temporary fake marriage. "It will be a real marriage, believe me, for life."
"Oh," said Hazel.
"We'll deal with Nicholas, don't worry," said Allen. "So tell me yes, fast," he said impatiently.
"Yes," Hazel said, her breath caught in her throat. She didn't know whether she did the right thing but she liked Allen immensely. His kisses made her burn for more. Axel had found a place in her heart. If the need arose she would give her life to protect them.
So, Allen's brother Jon and his wife Joanne and Gary procured the marriage license.
Today they would bring the registrar with the marriage papers to sign. They would also be their witness. Jon's twin boys Alex and Asher were close to Axel being a year older to him. Axel was eager to meet them as they were also accompanying their parents to Allen's house. Gary's daughter Annalise was older at seventeen. She couldn't make it today.
Axel was very excited as he and his dad had gone to buy the wedding rings. They got ready both wearing suits in Allen's bedroom. "Are you happy dad?" Asked an excited Axel.
"Yes, very happy. Thanks son," said Allen, smiling at Axel who was looking at himself in the mirror proudly. They were dressing up for the wedding at Axel's insistence.
Hazel wore a beautiful white dress that Axel and Allen had got for her. She curled her hair and kept it untied, letting it fall in waves around her. Clipping on small pearl earrings she was ready. Lunch was ordered by Allen and everything was ready.
Hazel was excited. She didn't know what to expect from the wedding. Allen wanted her and she too desired him but couldn't confess like he did. What did he mean by this being a real marriage? Would he make love to her tonight? Would he want to have babies with her? He did mention that this marriage was forever. Confused and excited she fidgeted around in her bedroom. She could hear laughter and chatting in the room next to hers. It was Allen's room.
There was a knock on her door and she went and opened it. A pretty woman in her early thirties, stood smiling at her.
"Hi, I'm Joanne, Allen's older brother Jon's wife," she introduced herself. Hazel opened the door wide for her to come in.
"I brought grandma's veil for you. She's old and can't travel. She sent this for you," she said, fixing the veil on her hair.
"It's beautiful, thank you, " said Hazel loving the soft veil with lace appliques all over.
"You're gorgeous, no wonder Allen is head over heels in love with you," she said with a wink.
Hazel blushed at her comments. If only if she knew why they were marrying. There was no love. She escorted her downstairs where the marriage registrar was waiting for them.
The moment she entered the room, she could feel Allen's hot gaze upon her, taking her in from head to foot. She blushed at his minute scrutiny. Axel stood with Joanne's boys and they all stood together with mischievous grins on their faces.
Allen looked dashing as always in his black suit and she prayed that he wouldn't kiss her in front of Axel after the signing of the papers. They completed all formalities and were declared man and wife. The registrar left and everyone gathered around the newlyweds to congratulate them.
"Now kiss," said Joanne, wickedly smiling at Allen. Allen grinned at her and came closer to Hazel.
"No, that's not," before Hazel could complete her sentence, his mouth claimed hers in a hot, possessive kiss. Everyone whistled and she blushed like a tomato. When his mouth left hers, she couldn't look up at Axel. What was Allen thinking kissing her like that in front of her son?
Her son? She smiled at the thought. When she had started thinking of Axel as her own son, she didn't know. "Hazel, I'm hungry," said Axel.
"Just a minute," she said as she went towards the kitchen.
"Here let me help," offered Joanne. They all helped themselves to the food. Joanne brought out a beautiful cake and made the newlyweds cut it. Everyone fed them a piece and then served themselves.
Hazel packed enough food and cake for grandma and Gary's daughter Annalise. "Dad can I go with uncle Jon to their house? I want to go camping with them for the weekend," said Axel, excitedly.
"Yes, let him come along with us, Allen, " coaxed Joanne. "Jon will drop him here on sunday night."
"Please dad," pleaded Axel.
"Ok, but be careful and take your mobile with you. Keep updating me," said Allen.
"Thanks dad," said Axel and he rushed upstairs to pack his stuff. Joanne helped Hazel clean up everything in the meantime.
After an hour, everyone left the house. Allen locked the main door shut behind them and turned towards her. She looked at him nervously, not knowing what to do.
He came towards her in a few strides and picked her up in his arms. He carried her bridal style all the way upstairs. "Allen, what are you doing?" she asked, unsure of his intentions.
"Taking my wife to my room. You will now shift into my bedroom," he said, staring at her with open desire. He hadn't felt so horny for the last thirteen years, dedicating his youthfulness to bringing up his son. He couldn't control himself anymore. He needed to taste her. He needed to be inside her.
"Oh, but this isn't a real marriage. Why would I need to shift to your bedroom, " she said in confusion.
He reached his bedroom and carried her inside, depositing her on his bed. "Oh it is very much real, Hazel. I will make love to you everyday, whenever I want to. You're my wife and I intend to make you mine. Completely mine," he said.
Hazel stared at him with round eyes as he came towards her.
