Chapter 3 - Is He Really In Love With Me?

Cassandra’s POV

Julian watched me silently and then followed me upstairs to Avery’s old room. “You can sleep here. This was my best friend Avery’s room. She’s married now.” I said as I left him there to get fresh towels and Uncle Bob's spare clothes. He was Avery’s dad, who had died three years ago because of kidney failure.

I was nervous about going back to the room to face Julian. He seemed the desperate and reckless type like all playboys were. All my life, I had avoided such types of men.

Not having any choice, I returned to his room and opened the door quickly. The faster I completed the job and escaped, the better it would be for my mental health. I dashed inside to place the towels and clothes that I had got for him. However, my jaws fell to the floor as Julian turned around to check who came in, wearing only his black microscopic briefs. His muscles rippled in the right places, his tight six-pack abs, and his sexy, ripped body, were all exposed to my innocent eyes. He looked like a smoldering model straight from a fashion magazine. I quickly closed my eyes and turned around.

“I’ve brought you some clothes and towels,” I said as I placed them on the bed. Whirling around, I ran for the door, but before I could reach it, an arm snaked around my waist and pulled me. I collided with his warm, muscular body. His feverish hot skin against me caused goosebumps on my arms. Why wasn’t he fully clothed? This was exactly what I had been dreading.

I blushed to the roots of my hair, my cheeks red as a tomato, and I felt hot and wet down there. I was shocked at my reaction to him and felt more embarrassed by it all.

“Please let me go. I didn’t know that you were, um, naked,” I stammered, not knowing what gibberish I was saying. My mind went into overdrive when he chuckled. He brushed his warm lips against my neck while his arm held me tight. I was acutely aware of every contour, every hard muscle of his body.

“I’m not naked. Check me out,” he whispered hoarsely. I knew he was teasing me while I was already melting in his arms. My conscience told me to run, but my body stopped listening to my mind. It seemed to have a mind of its own. I was stunned by what was happening. How did things speed up between us? After all, I just met the guy!

“I want you in my arms, babe. Why should I let you go?” he said as he bit my ear softly.

“I want nothing with you, please. I’m not ready for a fling or an affair, nor am I available for a one-night stand. If you think I’ll sleep with you, then you’re wrong. Please leave me, I can’t do this,” I said with my eyes squeezed shut, pushing him with all my might.

He gently turned me around in his arms, picked up my hands, he placed them on his chest. “Tell me, you feel nothing when you touch me?” he asked as he covered my hands with his large, rough ones.

“No, Julian, I don’t feel a thing,” I lied when my panties were soaking wet with arousal, and the throbbing at my core was too much for me. I never felt this way with anyone before. In fact, I had a zero experience with men, apart from that drunken night when I was abused and Max was conceived.

“When I touch you, what do you feel, darling?” he said as his lips sucked the sensitive spot on my neck. The endearment made my heart melt as it thumped wildly with excitement. Strangely, it didn’t feel at all forced or odd. As if my heart knew him already!

“Not a thing,” I lied again.

His hand traveled down my leg as he hoisted it up, supporting it on his strong, muscular one. His hand touched the hemline of my dress and, hoisting it up, he touched my soaking panties to check. It was weird that I just didn’t want to stop him. Seeing my lack of protest, his finger touched my dripping folds, and I gasped with pleasure. It was obvious now that I was lying.

He affected me in ways no one else did. As if satisfied by his little stunt, he caught my chin and crashed his lips to mine. It was a hungry, punishing kiss as he bit at my lower lip, compelling me to open my mouth to him. His tongue entered my mouth and played havoc with mine, exploring hungrily every corner of my mouth.

He devoured my mouth while his finger plunged into my dripping folds, slowly thrusting in and out of me in a slow rhythm, making me shudder with arousal. I clung to his body like my life depended upon it as he continued his torture. At last, his mouth left mine, making me steady my erratic breathing.

“Tell me now that you don’t want me. Your body seems to tell a different story,” he whispered while his hand continued its rhythm down there, driving me wild. It was the first time someone had touched me there to give me heavenly pleasure. I gasped and moaned as I felt my release onto his fingers and he licked my juices clean. With his eyes dark and hooded, he gazed at me, making me blush at the roots of my hair. I was dumbstruck as well as shocked by him.

“Tell me darling, and I will leave you, else I can prove it to you the whole night,” he threatened in a low, sensual tone that affected me in more ways than one.

I shuddered at the thought. “Please Julian, you’ve got it totally wrong. That was my first release. Maybe I’m a little shocked,” I said, as his arms tightened around me.

“That’s all?” he murmured into my ear and I nodded. Of course, it was a lie, but I wasn’t admitting that to him, ever.

“Wear those clothes and go to sleep,” I said as I pushed him with all my strength and escaped his tight hold.

He chuckled, “I sleep without clothes, you’ll soon find out,” he said, winking at me as he slowly walked towards me. My eyes widened as I realized his intentions and I ran away to the door.

“Never,” I threw over my shoulders and as I opened the door, I froze, hearing him call my name.

“Cassie?” he murmured softly and my heart skipped a beat as it felt more like an endearment being uttered through his kissable lips.

I slowly turned towards him and gasped to see him fall to the bed backward melodramatically, clutching his heart. “I think I’m in love with you,” he said, gazing into my eyes. Shocked was an understatement of what I was feeling at that instant. I didn’t know what to think of it anymore.

At last, I came to my senses. He was bluffing, of course. He was just playing with me. I rolled my eyes in disbelief and quietly opened the door.

“Good night, Julian,” I said and slipped out of his room.
