Chapter Thirteen

Victoria returned home but didn't mention anything about her conversation with Colton to Sofia. She had gained her strength back and was coping up well with her situation. So Victoria didn't want to upset her more.

"How were your classes, Sofi?" She asked her twin.

Sofia smiled at her. "Classes were fine. I've got all the extra study materials from Tessa and Caleb," she answered.

"That's great. When is your ultrasound?" Asked Victoria.

"Next month," said Sofia. "How was your day? Did you miss a lot of studies because of me?" Asked a guilty-looking Sofia. Victoria caught her hand.

"Hey, please don't say that. You're the most important person in my life. Whatever I missed, I can cope up. It's no big deal at all," said Victoria. She wanted to tell her about Colton but one look at Sofia's serene face made her change her mind.

"So how's the little baby doing inside?" She asked with a smile. Sofia tenderly stroked her stomach.

"It's doing fine," she said with a warm smile. She had no idea how she could feel so much love for something growing inside her whom she hadn't even seen. Victoria smiled back. She too had already fallen in love with Sofia's baby and asked about it everyday.

Victoria's phone buzzed with an incoming call from Colton and she was instantly on high alert. Thankfully Sofia didn't understand the caller ID of  flashing on the screen, AH. She just gave her a questioning look. Victoria smiled at Sofia.

"I need to take this call," she said, rushing out of the room before Sofia could ask her anything. She frowned at the caller ID. Thank God she had saved Colton's number as As* Hole aka AH!

"Why are you calling me?" She barked into the phone. After the way they had parted, she had no wish to see him again. Why didn’t he just get the idea and  leave her alone?

"Come out of your house. I'm at the Black River. If you don't come here, I'll come over to your house," he threatened, disconnecting the call.

Victoria gaped at the mobile phone. What the hell! She had no wish to go to Black River Cafe, located at a  5 minute walk from her house but she didn't want Colton to arrive here. Sofia would be too upset to see him and her parents would find out the truth. No that was too risky! She rushed out of the house and walked briskly towards the Cafe. Colton wasn't to be trusted. If she didn't hurry, he would definitely end up at her house.

She could see him pacing agitatedly in front of the Cafe, his face looking tense. Victoria dreaded talking to him. There was nothing to discuss with him actually.

It was Davion and  Sofia's personal matter and it should be left to them to solve. In fact Davion should have been here for his wife instead of Colton.

"Why did you call me here of all places?" Asked Victoria as she walked up to Colton. Colton turned and gave her a look.

"I didn't call you here for a date, if that's what you're getting at," said a pissed off Colton. Victoria rolled her eyes at him.

"I wouldn't have come if it were a date," she told him. Colton smirked at her.

"Don't be so overconfident. There will come a day when you'll beg me to take you out on a date," said Colton. Victoria snorted with disgust.

"Only in your dreams. Now if you don't have anything important to say, can I leave?" Asked Victoria, glaring at him angrily.

"No, not until I let you. I want Sofia to return back immediately to Reno. Davion's arriving tomorrow and he'll go crazy if he finds her gone," said Colton, looking at her with concern. Victoria shrugged.

"Why would he? Did he once bother to inform Sofi that he was going away for nearly a month? What did he expect? He'll have fun with his wh*res and when he returns, his wife should be at his service, twenty-four hours in a day?" Asked a furious Victoria.

"It's not that way at all. The Drayton's have a share in that hotel where we’ve launched our casino. It's a partnership deal," started Colton. Victoria interrupted him.

"I'm not interested in your business dealings, Colton.  Even if it was a business deal, Davion had no right to kiss another woman when he was already married. I can't agree with you on this," said Victoria.

"I didn't say that he kissed Nicola. He hates her!" Said Colton with confidence. Victoria snorted.

"I saw the picture okay, so don't try to fool me. Moreover this is Sofia and Davion's personal matter. Why should I discuss anything with you? Bye, I'm going home," said Victoria. Colton caught her hand pulling her along towards the Cafe.

"You're stuck with me till you agree to bring Sofia back to Reno by tomorrow morning," said Colton. Victoria's mouth fell at his stubbornness.

"Sofi isn't well. I can't rush her here and there. She has a say of her own too. She saw Davion's picture with that b*tch, Nicola and she can't forget his betrayal. What you're asking for is an impossible thing. Sofia won't go back," said Victoria as she tried to extract herself but his grip only tightened upon her.

"I don't know anything. You brought her here so you're the one who's going to take her back," said Colton forcing her to sit beside him inside the Cafe.

"If you imprison me here, how the hell will I do it? I swear that you're the most disgusting creature on earth!" Said Victoria. Colton glared at her with disbelief. All the women in the whole world thought that he was hot and here was a girl who thought that he was disgusting? Unbelievable!

"Are you sure that you're straight?" He leaned in and whispered all of a sudden into her ear taking her by surprise.

"Excuse me? Now where did that come from?" Asked Victoria with her jaws dropped to the floor. Colton just continued to stare at her with a shrug making her all the more confused. "Can you leave my hand?" She asked him.

"No, first tell me that you'd take Sofia back to her real home," continued Colton.

"No, I won't, " said Victoria.

"Fine, I can hold on to your hand forever till you agree. We're going to your house or mine?" Asked Colton. Victoria's eyes widened with disbelief.

"Are you serious? Why should I go to your house?" She asked him curiously.

"'Coz I'm not leaving you till you agree. I'll kidnap you if the need arose," threatened Colton. Victoria got up suddenly but he pulled her down and she landed on his lap! Shocked and embarrassed, Victoria looked up at the dark and menacing expression on his face.

"Let me go," said Victoria, her face red with embarrassment.

"No," said Colton. "Tell me that you'll take Sofia back and I'll let you go," said Colton, staring at her face which was inches away from his.

"No, please try to understand Colton, it's not in my hands. It's Sofi's life and she gets to decide what she wants to do," said Victoria, wriggling to get free. Colton groaned and Victoria was shocked to see his eyes grow dark with desire. She could feel him harden beneath her and her cheeks turned crimson with embarrassment. His arms tightened around her waist as he pulled her against his chest.

"Please, Colton. Everyone's staring at us," begged Victoria, wanting to evaporate into the air. She just tried pleading to make him see sense. Yelling wasn’t helping at all with this impossible jerk.

"Let them," said Colton,  watching her like a hawk.

"Okay, I'll try to convince Sofia. Please can you let me go?" Asked Victoria, giving up. This guy was crazy and she would never win against him.

"No," said Colton like a stubborn mule.

"Then what is it that you want?" Asked Victoria, frustrated and disgusted with him.

"I want you to take Sofia back there tonight, " said Colton. Victoria sighed and looked away. The guy was really crazy. "Or else I'll kidnap you to my house. I won't let you go home till you agree," he continued relentlessly.

"I told you that I'll try to convince her. Please, if I fail, you can punish me then," said Victoria, pleading with the jerk.

Colton considered her statement for a while. Then he grinned suddenly, releasing her abruptly. Victoria jumped to her feet, ready to flee. "I'm letting you go but if you fail to bring Sofia to Reno tonight, be ready to face the worst punishment possible," he threatened. Victoria nodded and rushed out of the Cafe while she still had the chance. There was no way she could trust Colton. What if he changed his mind and grabbed her again? She refused to think of the punishment that Colton might give her. Rushing home, she decided to try to tell Sofia what Colton had told her. She knew that Sofia wouldn't want to return to Reno however much she begged her to.
