Chapter Sixteen

Ryan crashed his lips to hers, devouring her mouth eagerly. The hunger and passion was double of what was there before. Georgia's arms went around his neck to keep herself steady.  His mouth was doing strange things to her, causing a strange need to erupt in her stomach. She surrendered herself to the need and opened her mouth eagerly to allow him to deepen the kiss. This time she moaned out his name unable to control herself any longer and kissed him back.

Ryan's desire accelerated feeling her sweet response. Her kisses made him lose all control and he glided his tongue deep within her sweet mouth to taste the same sweetness that he had tasted before. It was the nectar for his soul, it was what had caused him to be so drunk in it's sweetness in the first place. He pulled her closer to him and deliberately grazed his hardness against her body, a groan of pleasure escaping his mouth at the touch of her feminine  softness. Georgia's body instantly responded to his teasing and a warm flush escaped her drenching her panties. She was rekindled by a deep fire within her like never before.

His mouth at last left hers for what seemed like an eternity and Georgia gasped for air. Ryan stared at her with a dark and unfathomable look in his eyes. Georgia had no idea what was going on in his head but somehow her brain seemed to regain its power to think. And now she realized just what she had done. She had again surrendered to a forbidden kiss! She had kissed Ryan Wilson again!

"I need to go, Ryan, " she gasped at the realization, suddenly running towards the parking lot. Her frantic eyes looked around to see if anyone had seen them together. She knew her brothers and could comprehend the impending doom that lay ahead of her if they heard of this somehow.

Ryan stared at her retreating back, looking thoughtful as ever. He had no idea when the attraction that he had felt for her had transformed into such a volcano, ready to explode. He didn't know why he was so addicted to her. Was it just plain desire? He had never felt such an intense desire for anyone in all his nineteen years of life. So how is this so different? Why was it that he was unable to control himself around her? He knew that they had no future. He knew how her family was but despite knowing everything, he was just powerless to resist her. The temptation to just brand his name upon her soul, to make her completely his was too strong to deny. He closed his eyes to take deeper breaths to calm himself. The path that he was following was actually suicidal and he knew that. The hate and enmity between their families was too strong to ignore. He wouldn't be spared by her family!

He walked slowly towards his car after ten minutes. Georgia had already driven off in a frenzy but he was deep in thought. This simply couldn't go on. He needed to calm himself and try to stay away from her. His family would be in trouble if her brothers found out somehow. At home, he could hide his feelings from everyone but not from his twin.

"Let go of those thoughts, Ryan. They'll only leave you miserable. Control yourself while you can. There's no future with her, you know it. Her brothers won't think twice before chopping you up in pieces and disposing off your body. It might sound harsh but that's the hard truth," warned Ryder.

"I know, " sighed Ryan, closing his eyes. He would stay away from her. "You're right but I'm not scared for my sake. I'm scared of Brian's threat for Raine and Ronald, " he told his twin. Ryder gave him a surprised look.

"What threat? Am I missing something here?" Asked Ryder, looking worried. Ryan told him about Brian's threat to him on that day at their college when Brian had stormed in to beat them up.

"Why are you telling me now? This is serious. We need to change their school immediately. There's no trusting these crazy McLeans," said Ryder. Ryan nodded in understanding. He knew that Ryder was right.

After Ryder left the room, he picked up his mobile phone and send Georgia a message.

Ryan- Forget what happened between  us. It was a mistake never to be repeated.

He waited for a reply but it didn't come. It had him thinking. Did he do the right thing? Did he hurt her? Was she in tears after reading it?

"No Ryan. Focus! You have to stop this thing immediately, " he chided himself.

Georgia returned home from the hospital tired and exhausted having no idea of what lay in store for her at home. Just as she entered the house, she saw a grim faced Brian sitting with his mobile phone in his hand. He looked up at her angrily.

"What were you up to with Ryan Wilson today?" He growled out with barely suppressed anger. Georgia's face lost its color and she trembled like a leaf in front of her brother, unable to comprehend just what he saw.

"I wasn't with Ryan. I was at Alpine doing my research work," she squeaked, resorting to lies out of fear. What else was there to do?

"Research my foot. Eric saw you kissing Ryan Wilson. Don't you dare deny it," growled Brian, getting up with his face red with anger. Georgia's heart stopped beating, her throat was choked with fear. Eric Barnes was Brian's best friend and Brian believed him with his eyes closed.

"I wasn't kissing him, maybe someone else was," she tried to shrug but Brian lost his composure and rushed towards her with fury. Georgia cringed with fear knowing that he would hurt her physically now. Nothing was beyond Brian. He could kill her too. He slapped her hard and Georgia's head reeled with the brunt of the hit. She fell to the couch, as her cheeks stung, Brian's calluses hand already being imprinted on it. Tears spilled out of her eyes at the humility. She was an adult and a girl. How could he lift his hand upon her?

"How dare you lie, you crazy girl. If you weren't my sister, you would have been dead by now," he gritted out, lifting his hand to hit her more.

"Stop right there, Brian. Are you planning to kill her already?" said Cameron as he stormed into the living room from upstairs hearing the commotion.

"Stay out of our business, Cam, " shouted Brian, wild with fury. Aunt Dorothy too came out of the kitchen and gasped seeing the scene in front of her. Cameron stood right in front of Georgia, shielding her from her brother's wrath.

"Georgia is my sister and I shall protect her with my life, Brian. You have no right to physically assault her. Whatever, she might have done, talk like civilized people, dammit. Why do you always need to resort to violence always?" He told Brian calmly.

"She's my sister, Cam. You're a guest here right now. Stay out of this, I'm warning you," threatened Brian.

Aunt Dorothy, helped Georgia to her feet and gently took her inside.

"Georgia is an adult. You cannot just do what you want with her, Brian. She's our only sister and we need to treat her with respect, " said Cameron. Brian pushed him aside to get to Georgia but Cameron blocked him.

Brian faced him with anger bubbling inside him. "Do you have any idea what she has done? She has kissed Ryan Wilson, the son of our rival family. I'll finish her tonight if that's the last thing I'll do in this wretched life," growled Brian. Cameron was instantly on alert. With his uncle Allen bedridden and sick, he had to stop this commotion immediately. He caught Brian to stop him from going inside the house.

"I'll talk to her, Brian. Killing isn't a solution. I'm sure there's an easier way out of this. I'll ensure that she stays away from your rival family. Will that do?" Asked Cameron, almost in a plea. Brian glared at him for sometime. Then he wrenched himself free of Cameron's hold.

"You can try but if I see her again, I'll either finish her off or wipe the Wilsons from the face of the earth, " said Brian, storming out of the house. Cameron breathed a sigh of relief after he left. He went towards Georgia's room and saw her weeping in his mom's arms.

"I love him, aunt Dorothy. He isn't a bad guy at all. He helps me all the time. His family isn't  bad either. It's just Brian and Greg who consider them as business rivals since they are the top dairy farmers and ranchers in the whole of Fordsville and adjoining areas," said Georgia in between sobs. Cameron heard everything and felt sorry for his sister.

"I understand, sweetie. Just calm down. I'm sure that the boy should be special since you love him so much but it's no use getting Brian so furious. Stay away from Ryan for a few years till you're able to stand on your own feet," advised her aunt.

"Yes, your brother will take it out on you as well as the Wilson family, Georgie. Please try to understand and stay away for a few years. Promise me?" Said Cameron. Georgia nodded.

"Promise," she whispered as more tears poured from her eyes.
