Chapter Twenty-Five

After confessing her feelings to Liam, there was a new found energy in Lisa along with a hope for a better tomorrow. She played with Lauren and Aries like before, pulled Troy's legs like before. Laurence bought her a brand new red Jaguar sports car. She could drive it with expertise having learnt driving from their fleet of chauffeurs whenever she had got the chance to. She had received her license four days after her eighteenth birthday but despite everything she didn't have the confidence to go out on her own.

Liam visited her in the evening everyday. His final exams were coming up in five days yet he had to see Lisa at least once everyday. She was his drug, his life-saving medicine and even if it was for an hour, he took out time to see her.

"Go and study Liam, " said Lisa pushing him out of her room.

"I wish I didn't have to," he said, getting up reluctantly. "I wish we could go out like we used to."

"We will, once your exams get over," Lisa pointed out.

"Still fifteen days to go," he grumbled. "Do you still love pizza the most?" He asked curiously.

"Yes," she answered.

"And lavenders?" He asked.

"Yes," she answered again. "I haven't changed one bit Liam. "

"Oh yes, you have," said Liam with a grin. Lisa looked at him questioningly.

"Tell me how?" She asked with curiosity.

"You have grown up, you have turned hotter, you have matured, you have grown more beautiful," he whispered, his eyes looking deep into hers.

"Even you have changed then," she whispered back.

Liam came closer, his interest piqued by now. "Really? Have I grown hotter? " He asked with a smirk.

"I'll tell you tomorrow. Go and study now," she told him, pushing him away.

"I won't go without my kiss," he said softly.

Lisa smiled and pulled him close. Her arms went around his neck and he tiptoed to kiss him but he pulled her closer, flush against himself. He lowered his head and captured her lips with his own, kissing her with longing and passion. "I had wanted to do this everyday for the last two years Lisa. I've watched you from far.  You used to wait for me at the back gate of your school. If it hadn't been for Megan, I would have approached you," said Liam, resting his forehead against hers. Lisa looked at him with disbelief.

"You used to come everyday? How I never saw you?" She asked curiously.

"I didn't want you to see me so I stayed hidden," said Liam.

Lisa sighed. She just wished that she could be free from her dad. She couldn't explain to Liam what she'd been facing all her life.

"Why did you run away Lisa? Tell me what's bothering you? Is anyone threatening you? Tell me please. I can help you," said Liam.

"Not now Liam. I'll tell you everything after your exams. Now go and study please, " she said. Liam left reluctantly and Lisa decided then and there that she would tell Liam everything that had been happening in her life. She would be honest with him.

The next two days she planned her college admission with Laurence, Troy and Arianna.

"We'll go and do the admission formalities tomorrow, Lisa," said Laurence. Lisa was satisfied that finally something good was happening in her life. Sofia had enrolled into a fashion designing course and came to visit her with Victoria who wanted to major in economics. She wanted to be a lawyer just like her parents. Lisa still hadn't got the confidence to step out of the house on her own.

The LVMPD called Laurence and informed him that since Leo admitted to his crime and considering his young age, he was fined as well as sentenced to one year of imprisonment. The case was closed and they preferred not to discuss it any more.

Liam stopped coming a day before his exams and Lisa decided to go and wish him luck. Laurence's chauffeur drove her to the Parker mansion. She went straight to the main building, hesitantly. This was the first time that she came here all alone, the last two times she had visited either with her parents or with Liam. What if they didn't like her anymore? What if they considered her a bad influence upon their son? Lisa walked slowly deep in thought. Her confidence was lost and her self-esteem had actually been shattered.

"Lisa?" Asked Kathy with surprise as she entered the reception room.

"Yes, is Liam at home?" She asked hesitantly.

"Of course he is. Mr. and Mrs. Parker have gone out but Liam is at his apartment, studying. Why don't you go and see him?" Said Kathy. Lisa nodded and thanking her, left the main building and walked down the lawn towards Liam's building.

Memories of the last time she had come here with Liam two years back flooded her mind. She always loved the Parker mansion. For some strange reason it made her feel like home. She entered Liam's building and went up the staircase to his bedroom. She remembered it just like it was yesterday. There had been no change at all in anything in the Parker mansion. Everything was just the way it was the last time she had been here. She opened Liam's door, and peeped inside. He was busy writing something in a notebook with utmost concentration. She went inside and stood behind him, her arms going to his head and into his hair.

"I got your smell of lavenders the moment you started climbing up the stairs," he said, closing his eyes and leaning back, his head resting against her abdomen. Lisa smiled as her fingers tangled into his hair, massaging his scalp lovingly.

"Liar," she said softly and massaging his head more.

"Wow, I didn't know you have magic in your hands," he said with a smile. "I want this everyday till my exams get over," he ordered.

"Hope your parents don't get sick of me," she said hesitantly.

"Why should they? Mom likes you. In fact why don't you move in with me?" Suggested Liam.

"No way, what will everyone think of me?" Said Lisa with horror.

"What will they think? We love one another. We're both adults and we will go ahead with our relationship once my exams get over, " said Liam, looking up into her eyes.

"Oh, then you can talk to my brother after your exams get over," Lisa told him. Liam grinned and held her hand and pulled her towards him. He pulled her onto his lap.

"Were you missing me too much?" He asked her, his fingers trailing along her cheek and jawline in a feather soft touch.

"No, I just came to wish you luck for your exams, " said Lisa with a smirk. "All the best Liam. "

Liam grinned. "Who's lying now?" He asked her softly. "Tell me you missed me else you can sit here the whole night. I won't let you go home, " he whispered, his head inches from hers, his glance stuck on her juicy lips.

"I missed you Liam. I always do the moment you leave me. If I could I would have stuck to you like your shadow," she told him truthfully.

"You can't be my shadow Lisa. You're in my heart, in every breath that I take, in every cell of my body. You're my life," he said softly,  pulling her close for a passionate kiss. It was a possessive and lingering kiss and both were soon lost in each other. The clock chimed and Liam released her, staring deeply into her eyes with a deep longing in his eyes. It was dinner time and Laurence would get worried about her.

"I'll go home Liam. I'll come again tomorrow," she said but Liam didn't release her.

"I don't want you to go," said Liam, holding her tightly. He didn't want to let her go lest she didn't come to see him again. After so many years, he finally found happiness, he got the love of his life, he wanted to become selfish.

"I promise to come again tomorrow Liam. Study hard and do well in your exams," said Lisa. Liam reluctantly released her.

"If you don't come tomorrow I'll move into your house along with my books, " said Liam,  meaning every word he said.

"I'll come tomorrow, bye Liam," she promised him. Liam nodded grumpily.

"Bye, I'll see you tomorrow, " he said seeing her to the door. Lisa left and went home happily. She looked forward to tomorrow when she would come to meet him again. For the first time in her life Lisa was happy with her life. She felt alive and well loved. She felt cherished. She waited eagerly for Liam's exams to be over. He had promised to talk to her brother. They would go a step forward in their relationship and she would finally be together with him.
