Chapter Nine

"Thank you for the most delicious dinner," said Lisa as they left the restaurant together.

"I'm glad that you liked it," he said, a satisfying smile lighting up his face. He helped her to his car and then climbed onto the driver's seat.

"When will I see you again Lisa?" He asked her hopefully.

"Tomorrow? I have classes in the morning, " she told him shyly. She too wanted to see him again. There was this strange longing in her heart to meet him and spend more time with him. Actually she didn't really want to go home. She knew that the moment she walked inside her house her mom would start her drama for disappearing without doing as she had wanted her to do.

"So when will you get over?" Asked Liam.

"By 11 o'clock in the morning," she told him.

Liam drove slowly towards her house. He didn't want the evening to end but she wasn't eighteen yet and he couldn't whisk her away anywhere much as he would have liked to. He would have taken her to his house where no one would have forced her to do things that she didn't like.

"I'll come down then. It's a date, " he said with a smile.

"Like tonight?" She asked him.

"Yes," he smiled at her enthusiasm. Lisa smiled too. She just didn't know how long they would be able to see one another but she wanted this to go on forever. But she knew it was impossible. Her parents would find out someday and then would force her to do what no one knew. The fragile and sweet bond that she shared with Liam would be lost forever. She didn't want Liam to misunderstand her. They neared her house and Liam parked a block away.

"Why here?" Said Lisa with a puzzled look on her face. "Okay, I can walk down I guess," she said, trying to open the car door but to her dismay it was locked. She turned towards him to see that he was staring at her with dark eyes, with his pupils dilated.

"Come here, Lisa," he called her huskily.

Lisa's eyes widened. Oh would he kiss her now? She shook her head glancing all around her but Liam wasn't taking a no for an answer. He simply leaned forward and pulled her head towards his own. His dark penetrating gaze not leaving her face even once. He smashed his hot lips to hers, kissing her wildly, passionately. His tongue played along her lower lip making her open them to his probing tongue. She opened her sweet mouth to for him to glide his hot tongue inside and deepen the kiss. There was something about Liam's kisses that wanted to make her surrender to him. And she did. He thoroughly tasted her sweet mouth making her closing onto his shoulders inside the close confines of the car. Lisa moaned with pleasure, her whole body feeling alive by that one kiss. His mouth slowly released hers and he looked into her eyes, drowning in their depths.

"I'll wait for you Lisa. I want another kiss tomorrow, " he told her, driving towards her house and parking in front of it. She smiled shyly. She too wanted it.

"Bye," she said softly. Liam unlocked her door and she got out. She waved at him and went inside. Now it was the worst time of the day. She prayed that she didn't meet her parents. Thankfully she didn't. She went into her room but didn't switch on the lights. The night lamp was enough to guide her. She wanted her mom to think that she wasn't home. She would deal with her mom the next day. She changed and went to sleep with the sweet thoughts of Liam and the kiss that she shared with him.

The next morning, it was a lazy Sunday for everyone but not Lisa. She dreaded going downstairs for her milk and breakfast but what option did she have? She decided to go upstairs to Laurence's floor for milk. When she walked in, Serenity was sipping a bland clear soup to help her with the nausea. Sandra smiled at her indulgently. Lisa hugged Serenity. "Hi, how are you?" She asked her.

"A little weak, else all's well, I guess," she answered.

"Did you have your milk Lisa? I was just going downstairs, " said Sandra.

"No, I wanted to see Laurence, so I just came here," she informed them.

"Sandra give her some milk and cookies, please," said Serenity. Lisa got up and took the milk out of the refrigerator.

"It's okay. I'll get it," said Lisa.

"I didn't know you were home last night?" Said Sandra.

"Yeah, I was tired, so went to sleep early," answered Lisa but Sandra understood her. She didn't say her word though and handed her the cookies.

"These cookies are delicious, " she said, taking two more.

"Mom made them for me. They're my favourite so Liam got them for me yesterday. Where were you Lisa? He was asking for you," said Serenity. Lisa coloured profusely.

"Yes, I met him," she blurted out without thinking. Sandra chuckled and Serenity's eyes popped out.

"Where?" She asked with surprise and Lisa coloured more. "Wait, are you two dating?" She asked curiously.

"Yes but please don't tell mom and dad, " said Lisa in panic. She didn't want to tell Serenity but it just slipped out of her mouth before she realized it.

"We won't. Don't worry, " said Serenity and Sandra too nodded at her.

"What are you people talking about?" Asked a sleepy Laurence as he came for his coffee.

"Nothing important, " said Lisa.

"Where were you yesterday Lisa? The whole day mom and dad stirred up a storm at home because of you, " informed Laurence.

Lisa kept quiet. She couldn't tell him anything in front of everyone. "I need to talk to you bro," she said quietly finishing her milk and cookies.

"Sure anytime," said Laurence, sipping his coffee. Sandra left to go downstairs and Serenity went to lie down for some time. "So tell me," asked Laurence. Lisa told him everything that their parents wanted her to do. Laurence sat shocked as he heard everything.

"Have they gone crazy?" He asked furiously. "I'll talk to them. Next time please tell me before leaving the house. "

"You can't do a thing bro. Sometimes I get the feeling that you and I have been stolen from our real parents and adopted by mom and dad, " said Lisa, flailing her arms helplessly.

Laurence sighed. He knew he couldn't do a thing against them. He still couldn't find his Aria. Day by day he was becoming more depressed. Yesterday they had announced Serenity's pregnancy to his parents and they already started planning about creating bank accounts for the unborn child so that when Eric Parker gifted half his wealth to his grandchild, it would be easily accessible to his parents.

"There's a possibility, " he sighed more.

"Any news of Arianna, bro, " asked Lisa.

"No," said Laurence, his face long, dejected and unhappy.

"Why don't you change your PI, bro," suggested Lisa. Laurence nodded.

"I have," he informed her solemnly.

"We will find her, bro. Don't give up hope, " she said, getting up to get ready for her music classes. She showered and wore a black lace top and a white skirt with a jacket. She didn't want to dress up to make her parents suspicious. Afterwards, she went downstairs to grab a quick breakfast. Sandra was serving her parents the breakfast that the chefs had made.

She simply buttered a toast and served herself some of the scrambled eggs. "Where were you yesterday, Lisa?" Growled her dad angrily.

"At a friend's place doing our music school assignment," answered Lisa with a poker face.

"Was that so important? How dare you ignore what I had asked you to do?" Hissed her mom.

"It was important," mumbled Lisa.

"Shut up Lisa. How dare you talk back? Don't compel me to punish you," said her dad.

"Why don't you stop that music school of hers Harry?'' said her mom angrily. Lisa stared at her parents with dismay. Music was the only thing she was passionate about. She had started learning since she was five years of age. She knew she was good with instruments especially the violin. Her teacher called her music pieces 'soulful masterpieces' and she was very much appreciated by all at her music school. She couldn't leave all that!

"I'll kill myself you stop my music, '' she said, getting up and rushing out to her room. Her appetite was gone and she was very upset, on the verge of tears. She picked up her little backpack and violin and went down the elevator towards the underground parking. Tim wasn't around so Joe took out one of the cars to drop her off.

"You can leave after dropping me off Joe,'' she told him.

"Yes Miss Lisa,'' said Joe. He drove off and Lisa went inside her music school. She was excited to meet Liam afterwards.
