Chapter Six

Lisa looked at Liam wordlessly. His answer made her acutely aware of herself. Their food arrived and she was saved from having to answer him.

The pizzas were too delicious and Lisa relished their taste. "So would you like to taste more pizzas on your next class?" He asked her, hopefully.

"Yes please, " she said shyly. "I have classes this Saturday evening."

"Then we could go out for dinner?" asked Liam.

Lisa nodded. She had never gone out to dinner with a guy before. Although Leo had asked her out a million times, she had never felt the wish to go out with him. Thankfully he would be in Michigan and wouldn't know about her outing. Otherwise if he found out he would  make her life at Sofia's house miserable for her. Although they were just friends,  she didn't know why he was strangely possessive about her.

"I brought something for you," said Liam. Lisa's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"What?" She asked excitedly.

Liam took out a small pouch from his trouser pockets. Opening it, he took out a very pretty lavender amethyst and pearl bracelet. Lisa stared mesmerised at the cute gift that he had got for her. She loved it.

She didn't care much for material things, she had too much of her own. She gave away to Sofia and Victoria whenever they needed her stuff. She never asked them to return it. Laurence had already given her his card to buy what she desired but she hardly used it. Whenever her mom or brother went shopping, they  bought truck loads of stuff for her.

"It's very pretty. I love it," she said, looking at it with awe. It was the first gift from Liam and it meant a lot to her.

"Give me your hand," said Liam. He had searched the entire shop for this cute lavender bracelet yesterday on his way home. Lisa outstretched her hand towards him. He clasped the bracelet onto her wrist, his fingers brushing against her skin. Goosebumps erupted at his feather light touch.

"Thank you," she said shyly, drawing her hand away. Liam saw the deep blush staining her cheeks and wanted to kiss the blush away.

Afterwards they left the pizza joint and Liam led her towards his car. "Home?" He asked her but she hesitated a little. She didn't want to face her mom yet.

"I'll go to a friend's house, " she said hesitantly.

"You can come over to mine. I'll show you something, " he told her to make her feel interested enough to come along. Lisa's eyes sparkled with interest.

"What?" She asked curiously.

"It's a surprise," he told her.

"Oh, I hate surprises, " she told him.

"Come along with me to find out," he was adamant.

"Okay, I'll go," she agreed, curiosity getting the better of her. Liam's eyes shone with excitement. It was evening already and he drove off towards his house. Lisa messaged Laurence that she was at a friend's house. Liam drove on through the gates of the magnificent Parker mansion, all in white, glowing by the rays of the setting sun reflected upon it. He parked his car inside the huge garage where there were many luxurious cars lined up, all spotless and flashy.

''Come, we'll meet mom and dad first, okay?'' asked Liam. Lisa agreed and he led her to the main building where his parents lived. Lisa saw that although Liam's house was luxuriously decorated, yet there was a homely charm, a cozy atmosphere unlike the five star hotel feel of her house. Eugene Parker was laughing with Kathy, their housekeeper as she laid out a fresh batch of blueberry muffins to cool down. She looked up when they entered the dining room.

''Lisa, right? What a pleasant surprise!'' she said coming forward and giving Lisa a hug.

''Hello Aunt Eugene,'' she greeted her, returning the hug.

''Don't go without having dinner,'' said aunt Eugene.

Lisa nodded with a smile. She was glad to be able to stay longer since she didn't wish to meet her parents at the dinner table. ''Mom, I'm taking Lisa to see my new favorite thing,'' said Liam and his mom chuckled.

''Sure,'' she said while Lisa stared at the two of them with a confused look on her face. What were they actually talking about? Her curiosity was piqued by now. Liam picked up her hand and led her outside the main building.

''Where are we going?'' she asked him. He smiled and turned to look at her. It was already dark now and the lights had been lighted all around the sprawling lawns as they walked hand in hand towards a white two storied building overlooking a pool of water with a fountain in the middle.

''That building is mine. I live there. That one was Serenity's before she got married,'' said Liam as he pointed towards the building beside his own. Lisa noticed a strange sense of sadness come into his eyes at the mention of his sister's name but she didn't say anything. Liam pointed at another two storied building on the opposite side of his own. ''That one was Lucas's. Now he's shifted to California with his wife,'' he told her.

''It's beautiful. I love your home. I always wanted to live in such a home and not at a five star hotel,'' she said.

''What do you mean?'' he asked her with a puzzled look on his face.

''You'll see when you come home this Saturday,'' she told him.

Liam nodded. ''Well, you never know. Wishes do come true,'' he said and Lisa looked at him. Their eyes met, both were unable to look away for a minute or so. Lisa wasn't sure that he actually meant what she thought he did. Liam wanted her to figure out how much he liked her. So after trying to silently communicate his feelings, he looked away. They had already reached his building. He took her inside through the wide door towards a grand staircase. They climbed all the way to a wide room on the terrace. Lisa looked around with curiosity. There was a huge telescope at the side. Comfortable seating and books on astronomy were all around the place.

"This is my favourite place in the whole world, " said Liam with a spark in his eyes as he looked around the place. "I watch stars and heavenly bodies till late at night. Do you want to watch with me?" He asked her,  coming closer and fixing the telescope.

"Yes, please, " she said, excitedly. She'd never done anything so exciting in her entire sixteen years of life. Liam positioned the telescope and checked by looking through it.

"Come here," he said softly. Lisa walked up to him and he asked her to place her eye on hole to watch. He tenderly tucked her hair behind her ear and stood  behind her with hands on either side of her, holding onto the telescope.

"Look at that red orb. It's the Mars. Mars is visible during most of the night at this time of the year, but it is best viewed now, during the late evening hours after sunset," he informed her.

"Wow, I love Mars. It's beautiful and red, " she said not realizing their nearness in her excitement. Liam smiled at her indulgently. She was still innocent despite the bratty and tough look that she always portrayed herself in.

"Now let me move the telescope a little this way. Now check, that mustard orb is Jupiter. It can best be seen in the hours just after sunset but visibility improves as the night progresses, " he said, his arms brushing against her soft body. Liam was a dead man. He loved the feel of her against his body, he loved her intoxicating smell of lavenders.

"I can see a reddish thing in Jupiter, " she said,  breathlessly. She had suddenly felt Liam's hot body against her back and his arms brushing against her sides. A strange electric tingle ran down her body at his touch.

"That's the Great Red Spot," he informed her.

He again fixed the telescope a little. "See that yellowish and bluish planet?" He asked huskily, his face near hers. She nodded quietly,  too aware of their position now. If she turned her head, she could kiss him. "That's Saturn. "

"Okay," she said breathlessly.

"See the greenish blue little balls? Those are Uranus and Neptune, " he said,  his mouth close to her earlobe.

"Liam, I, " she started but his mouth grazed her earlobe.

"You smell so good, Lisa, " he said huskily. Lisa's breath hitched at his words. She turned her head to look at him. His face was inches away from hers. He stared at her red juicy lips longingly.

"What are you doing to me?" He asked her in a tortured voice.

"Liam," she breathed not knowing what she wanted. "Kiss me please."

Liam didn't need any more prompting. He pulled her close to his body, not leaving any space between themselves and smashed his lips to hers.
