"Two girls? How did they look like?" Asked Nelson. Ciara described Alanis and Annalise vividly.

"Oh my God," mumbled Nelson as he realized that Annalise might have seen Alanis and left. "What do I do now?" He sat on the staircase with shock. Carter emerged from his bedroom and looked at Nelson with surprise.

"Hey Nel! Did you spend the night on my staircase?" He laughed. Nelson shook his head.

"No, I just came in. Last night Annalise too came in you know at the same time as Alanis. She saw Alanis kiss me and announce her pregnancy, I think. That's why she left without meeting me," said Nelson. Ciara and Carter's eyes widened with disbelief.

"Then? Go to get house and talk to her," suggested Carter.

"I think I'll go to the office and talk to her," said Nelson.

He left Carter's house and went to his own to get ready for work. He called Annalise all morning but her phone was strangely switched off. Thinking that she might be busy at college, he sat at his office checking his emails. He wasn't surprised to see Annalise's resignation in his inbox. She had actually mailed uncle Henry and sent him a copy of her resignation letter. Nelson sighed. His fear had actually turned into a reality. He would have to go and see her now. However, Carter called to say that Adam had gone to Nelson's house and not finding him there, he arrived at his house demanding to see Nelson.

"He was furious and abusive. He had a pregnancy report in his hand, dude. He wants you to go to his house and accept the responsibility of your own baby and marry Alanis," said Carter.

"Like hell I will. That report's fake. Didn't you tell him that she's lying. She's dumping someone else's mistake upon me," said Nelson agitated by the accusations.

"He didn't listen to a word I said. He just asked me to inform you that his whole family needs to talk to you, right now," informed Carter.

"Fine, I'm on my way to his house, " said Nelson furiously.

"Do you want me and Levi to join  you? We'll come down just now," offered Carter. Nelson agreed and disconnected the call. He excused himself from his uncle and left the restaurant. He drove over to Adam's house and found Carter and Levi waiting for him in front of Adam's house.

"Wait here, I'll go in first. I'll call you if I need your help or come down after twenty minutes if I don't call," said Nelson and they all agreed. Nelson rang the doorbell and a new housekeeper opened the door for him. He strode inside the house and called Adam. Everyone came out of their rooms hearing his voice.

Adam came rushing out and striding towards him, he held Nelson's collars. "B**tard, how dare you touch my sister?" He yelled but Nelson was too strong for him. He pushed Adam away with all his might and he staggered to the floor.

"Mind your language Adam. You know that I don't have any interest in your sister. In fact I haven't seen your sister for the last two years. How the f*ck can you accuse me of something that I haven't done?" Yelled Nelson, picking up Adam from the floor and holding him by the throat with mad fury in his eyes.

"Stop this immediately. Stop, I said," yelled Adam's dad, trying to separate the two of them. Nelson left Adam and the two glared at each other.

"I thought very high of you always Nelson. How could you do this to Alanis? She's pregnant and depressed now, all because of you," said aunt Kelly, Adam's mom, flailing her arms while Alanis stood near her staring at him with a smug expression on her face. Nelson wanted to slap the victorious look off her scheming face.

"How can you judge me without any proof? How can she get pregnant with my child when I haven't even seen her for the past two years? I'm sure she's carrying someone else's child. So stop these allegations right now," said Nelson, trying to be as calm as possible although he was far from feeling so.

"Proof? You want proof? What about this genetic profile report? It clearly states that you are the father of the baby," yelled Adam, waving a sheet in his face. Nelson took it and looked straight at Alanis. She looked uncomfortable and avoided his eyes. Nelson read the report. Obviously it was fake. A genetic report needed his blood sample. He didn't recall having given any blood sample to anyone.

"This report is prepared with the blood sample of the father. I haven't given you my blood sample. So how was this report prepared?" Nelson asked Alanis. She fumbled and mumbled.

"When you came down to LA, we went a blood test, don't you remember, Nellie?" She cooed.

"Nelson has never been to Los Angeles. What blood test are you talking about?" Said Levi, coming inside with Carter. They heard everything and decided to come inside and support their friend.

"Exactly and we stick together daily. So no one knows his whereabouts better than us, " said Carter. Adam looked at his sister.

"Where did you get that report made, Alan?" He asked. Alanis, looked down at her feet.

"RC Medic Labs, Houston," read out Levi, checking the report in Nelson's hands.

"I want another test done at the best medical lab here. Once the reports are out, if it doesn't match with this one, I'll sue this RC Medic Labs," threatened Nelson.

"Yes, that's the best suggestion. C'mon Alan, " said Adam's dad. Alanis's eyes widened. She hadn't expected this to happen. Even Adam and Carter agreed.

"I can't possibly go in this condition. I'm unwell," she wailed.

"Fine, I'll call Quest Lab and they'd send a representative to collect our samples. You wouldn't need to go anywhere," said Nelson, taking out his mobile phone.

"Please, don't call," said Alanis in panic.

"Why not? I want the truth out. I have no interest in you Alanis. You know it just as much as I do, that I've always treated you as a sister. I would never do this to you or for any girl for that matter. I don't do casual s*x. If I love someone I'm into a relationship for life. This test is important to me. You're accusing me of something which I wouldn't ever think of doing to you," said Nelson in a cold voice. Alanis started crying after hearing his words.

"How can you just treat me as a sister when I love you so much?" She wailed. "I'm not ready for any more test. It's already done and the reports are there right in front of you," she protested.

"No Alanis. I want to get to the truth. You'll give your samples and the tests will be conducted again," insisted Adam. Alanis's face fell.

"Mom, I don't want to do it," she turned to her mom for support.

"David, she doesn't want to have the tests done again, " said aunt Kelly, looking at Adam's dad, David Steele.

"I can't support you on that Kelly. The tests would have to be done," insisted Adam's dad.

"Stop, stop, please. Okay, I admit. That report's fake. I'm not carrying Nelson's baby. I didn't see him even once in the last two years," sobbed Alanis.

Everyone's jaws dropped as they stated at her with disbelief. Nelson clenched his teeth with fury. "It's because of you that my girl misunderstood me. She overheard you and left me. Alanis, you have to apologize to Annalise Martin for your baseless allegations else I'll sue the laboratory which have issued a fake report in my name," said Nelson furiously.

"Who's your girl? Annalise Martin? That wh*re? Our housekeeper's daughter? Huh, I don't believe this, " laughed Adam. Nelson saw red. He punched Adam on his face but Carter held him back.

"How dare spit venom about her with your filthy mouth? Yes Annalise Martin, Greta Martin's daughter. We love one another. but you'll are too blind to see good in anyone else. I'm ashamed to call you my friend, Adam. The Mercedes you showed me that day was her uncle's. The guys who came for her were her cousins. I was stupid to believe in your shit that day. How can you judge others without knowing the truth?" Yelled Nelson, clutching onto Adam's shirt collars and staring at him. Adam stared back at him with disbelief.

"But her mom did have an affair with my dad," he mumbled.

"How dare you say such things right on my face, Adam? Annalise's father Edwin Martin was my childhood friend. I treated Greta as my sister since the day Edwin married her. Edwin wasn't well and couldn't work any longer. His billionaire dad broke all relationships with him after he married Greta. I offered her monetary support but she declined. So I offered her a housekeeper's job and she agreed. That is all there is to it. I don't understand how these rumors spread?" Asked Adam's dad, looking straight at his wife. She looked guilty.

"I'm sorry, Nelson. I was wrong about Annalise. I'm willing to apologize to her," said Adam.

"I'm not. If Greta Martin was so good. How did she disappear with my money?" Asked Kelly Steele.
