Chapter Five

Allen drove her towards his house. "Let me go Allen. I can't put you and Axel in danger," she said, placing her hands to cover her face.

"We will see about that later," he said stubbornly as he kept on driving.

"Why are you doing this?" She whispered.

"Because I want to," he simply said, and she removed her hands and looked at his handsome face. He glanced at her briefly,"Don't stare too much. You might fall in love," he said with a smirk.

She lowered her eyes. Yes he was right. After what she went through, Allen's sweet gestures might make her fall in love with him. She closed her eyes and sat still. The car came to a halt in front of a big three storeyed house with a huge sprawling compound. Allen drove through the huge gates and parked inside. He climbed down and then led her towards the main door.  He punched in a security code and the door opened and with his arm on her back, led her inside.

"Welcome home, Hazel, " he said, as he stared at her.

She looked up at him wordlessly. She was so grateful to have a roof over her head. She didn't have words to thank him. He stared down at her upturned face with a deep longing that came from his soul. It seemed as if this house had been waiting for Hazel just like he had been. She completed his life.

Hazel collected herself and asked, "Where's Axel?"

"He's gone to school," said Allen in a husky voice. "Let me take you to your room. I've arranged for your clothes and necessities. Take a look," he said in a huskier tone. He was just controlling his urges. All he wanted to do was just pull her into his arms and kiss her till her feet turned to jelly and she completely surrendered to him.

"Oh, t thank you Allen," she said softly. He walked up the stairs and she followed him. He opened a door to a beautiful bedroom,"This room will be yours. It's right next to mine. Axel's room is at end of the corridor. The one beside you is an entertainment room," he said, gesturing towards the other rooms with his hands.

Hazel nodded. His room is next to hers? She took in the pale peach coloured walls and the rose blush coloured bedspreads and cushions. All the furniture were in white as a  contrast against the warm coloured walls. "It's beautiful.  I like it," she said.

Allen came up behind her, his hard body brushing hers, his hot breath on her neck. She forgot how to breathe. She could smell his fresh citrus cologne distinctly. His sharp intake of breath was enough to indicate his state. "I had it readied just for you," he said, huskily.

She had to get away from him. Else she would simply end up kissing him. She was surprised at her reaction to him. She never felt the urge to kiss Nicholas ever. When he forcefully did, she took shower after shower to erase the feel of his disgusting lips on hers. And now? Allen just stood behind her and she was a gooey mass of nerves wanting to kiss him.

She cleared her throat and went towards the small walk in closet. She opened the door and went in and stood surprised at the huge number of clothes that was neatly arranged inside. She picked up one, it was brand new. The price tag was still hanging from it. She turned towards Allen as he came inside the small walk in closet.

The small space seemed to fill up with his tall muscular body. "So many clothes?" She gasped.

"Yeah, I bought them for you yesterday," he said, staring at her for her reaction. Her eyes went wide. How did he know her size? She could see lingerie too in one of the shelves. She blushed and looked away.

Allen came closer,"I won't let you go," he said, as his eyes scanned her face, her eyes, her lips.

Unable to take in his hungry scrutiny, she lowered her eyes,"Thank you," she whispered. He kept staring, his forefinger went up beneath her chin forcing her to look up at him, "I want to know what you went through Hazel. I want to know you," he said, with a tortured look on his face.

"I will tell you everything. Give me a little time Allen," she said and he nodded as his hands dropped to his sides.

"Change and come down to breakfast. I know you haven't eaten anything, " he said abruptly, walking out of the closet and out of her room and down the stairs. She stood there transfixed. She chose a pair of denims and a white top and matching lingerie to go with it. She had to get out of her aunt's clothes. She closed her bedroom door and changed.

When done, she went downstairs towards the kitchen. A delicious aroma of fresh food wafted into her nose from there, tingling her tastebuds. She really was ravenous after skipping yesterday's dinner and today's breakfast.

She went inside and found Allen serving, creamed eggs on toast, berry topped pancakes dunked in honey honey glaze and coffee. "This looks too delicious. Did you make them?" She asked sitting down at the table and helping herself to the delicious food.

Allen sat opposite her and grinned,"I can't cook. I ordered it from the 24 hours restaurant two blocks away," he said, helping himself to the food.

"Oh, I will cook lunch then. When does Axel return?" She asked him.

"He'll return by 2 o'clock in the afternoon," he informed her.

"Oh fine then," she said, munching her food.

"I'm not around at this time usually. I didn't go to my office today," Allen confessed and she stared at him.

"Oh, you can go if you want to. I'll manage," she told him.

"I don't want to," he said, frankly and she blushed.

They finished their meal and cleaned up everything. She rinsed the dishes and checked the pantry and the refrigerator. "We would need to buy food items now. How will I make lunch? There's nothing at home, " she said and Allen grinned.

She hadn't realised that she had called his house her 'home'. "Let's go to the supermarket and get what you want," he suggested. He was loving this. Being with her, doing things with her excited him immensely. They bought things for the house and finally Allen paid and they returned home.

He received a phone call and got busy the next fifteen minutes, arguing with someone over the phone. She stored all the items that they bought, arranging them neatly in the kitchen. She was so engrossed in her work that she didn't see Allen come up behind her. She turned around and collided with his chest.

"Oh, I, " she started, then looking up into his deep chocolate eyes she was lost in their depths. His arm came up to hold her by the waist as he steadied her.

"I need to go to the office," he said with an anguished expression on his face. He didn't wish to leave her alone at home. What would he do if she left? Where would he search for her?

"You can go," she whispered, unable to think with him so near her, gazing into her eyes with deep dark eyes.

"I can't. You will leave if I go, " he said, staring at her with a tortured face.

"I won't go," she promised, staring into his eyes. His hand went up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. The light brush of his fingers on her skin caused goosebumps to erupt on her neck, arm and shoulders. Allen stared at her reaction to his touch.

"Promise? I want to come home to you, everyday," he said, his fingers brushed against her cheek. She trembled like a leaf and his eyes grew dark like storm clouds.

"Promise," she whispered. He nodded and abruptly left her and went out of the house, closing the door behind him.

Hazel stood transfixed to the spot. She couldn't believe how she reacted to him. It was so embarrassing.

Composing herself she went about with cooking lunch, humming a tune absentmindedly.
