Chapter Thirteen
Jaden came home a little early since Rosalie was upset when he left. They sat and watched a movie together. Tomorrow, Jaden would take her to the gynecologist for a check up. They had a candlelit dinner to boost each other's moods.
"While returning home, we can check out two farms that are up for sale. They're nearby and if you like any of them, we can buy it for your organic farm," said Jaden. Rosalie was touched by his enthusiasm. He not only suggested to her the idea of her own organic farm, but also went ahead and checked any available farms up for sale.
"Thank you Jaden, it means a lot to me that you're doing so much," she said getting emotional.
"It's nothing, love, I can fight the world for you, " he said and she hugged him tightly.
"I love you too Jaden. I have always loved you since childhood. If my family's fate wouldn't be in my hands, I wouldn't have been engaged to Mr McAllister. They did it without my approval or acceptance. It was forced upon me. I was scared of what Jennifer would do to me," she confessed and he grinned happily.
"I know. I'm glad that I could get you out of that. I'm so happy now that we again have each other," he said, picking her up and carrying her to their bedroom.
They made gentle love and lay down to sleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, they went for her check-up and while returning home, they checked out the farms for sale. Rosalie loved one of the farms. It was a five minute walk from their house. There was a small brook running through the property and Rosalie squealed with delight.
"I love it, can we buy this one?" She said, excitedly.
"Sure, I'll talk to the owner and buy it immediately," he said and they returned home, happily.
In the evening Rosalie's dad came to visit them. He was more relaxed than Rosalie had ever seen him. He had a huge grin on his face too.
"So, Jennifer came to visit you, I heard?" He asked.
"Yeah, but how did she know that I am here?" Asked Rosalie. Jaden brought her dad some red wine as he favoured it.
"She hired people to follow me around. So she arrived here to scare you Rose but I think she wasn't too keen on a confrontation," said her dad.
"Oh, why do you think so?" She asked.
"I think you scared her, Jaden," he said, grinning and clapping Jaden's shoulders. Jaden grinned back. "She returned home pretty late. When I asked her she avoided the topic. I got the details from Ryan, my son. He overheard her talking on the phone."
"Today morning she spoke to me. She wants a divorce as soon as possible. She doesn't wish to be with me anymore. She said she has found love and wished to marry him. We spoke to the boys, Ryan and Ryder. She doesn't want them. So the boys stay with me," said her dad, with a smile. It was obvious that he was relieved and happy to get rid of Jennifer so easily.
Rosalie and Jaden looked at each other with suspicion. So was Jennifer marrying Allen McAllister? Maybe.
"Jaden, inform your friend Stuart that I don't want to catch them red handed. I wanted a divorce and I'm getting it without any hassles. I'm happy," said her dad.
"Ok, I'll inform him as soon as possible, " said Jaden.
"In fact I came to Travis Springs to fix my old family house beside your dad's house, Jaden. I will shift there immediately with Ryan and Ryder. They will study in Houston and come home on holidays. I'll release the house in Houston," said her dad and Rosalie went and sat beside him. She hugged him happily.
"I'm so happy dad that you will be shifting here," she said.
"What about your job, uncle Edwards?" Asked Jaden.
"I resigned two days back when I was confirmed about Jennifer's affair with Allen, " he said.
"Then what will you do?" Asked Rosalie.
"I'll start my own financial consulting agency here in Travis Springs. Then I'll marry your mom, Rosalind," he said, blushing a little.
"Aww dad, that's the best thing ever," she said, clapping her hands. "When can I meet her, dad?" She asked.
"Soon, let everything get fixed, " he promised.
Her dad stayed for dinner. Afterwards he went to his family home in Travis Springs. Jaden called Stuart and informed him what uncle Edwards had told him to.
The next whole week her dad came regularly. He was having his house renovated. Ryan and Ryder too came to Travis Springs to help him. They connected with all their old school friends. They came over to see Rosalie too.
The house was ready and Jaden took Rosalie too to see her childhood house. They refreshed their memories as they walked in and out of every room.
"This room's mine now" said Ryan, checking out Rosalie's childhood room. "Rose will not stay here anymore. "
"No it's mine. Rose's room's mine. You take our previous room." Said Ryder, checking out the balcony.
"Hey Jaden, does this balcony connect to yours?" Asked Ryder, suspiciously.
"Yeah, it does," Jaden said, grinning at Rosalie who grinned back, remembering the times when they used to climb to and fro.
"No wonder they're marrying each other," said Ryan grinning.
"Hey, Jaden, which is Jade's room? I heard she's turned beautiful," said Ryder, getting a smack on his arm from Rosalie.
"She's older to you boys. So don't even think about it. Dad will shoot you down," said Rosalie and Jaden glared at them.
"Relax bro, we were just kidding, " said Ryan and Jaden looked away.
"You better be," he said.
Her dad came upstairs. "Rose, do you wish to meet your mom? She's here downstairs," said her dad and Rosalie grinned excitedly, tugging at Jaden's hand.
"Jaden let's go and meet her," she said. They all went downstairs. Rosalie saw a beautiful woman, who quietly stood admiring a painting in the living room.
"Rosa, meet Rosalie, your daughter, " said her dad tenderly. She turned in their direction and looked at her, her face breaking into a smile as tears fell from her eyes.
"My Rose? My little girl? Oh Greg, she's grown so big," she said. Rosalie couldn't stop the tears from falling. She went to her mom and hugged her tightly.
"Mom, I wanted to meet you so badly," she said and they both wiped each other's tears. It was a very emotional moment for both of them.
"I have waited all my life for this moment. Today's the best day of my life," said her mom.
"Rosa, meet Jaden, he and Rose love each other. They're expecting their first baby," said her dad and her mom hugged Jaden too.
"Hello son. I'll be a grandma? I can't believe it. God has been kind to me at last, " said her mom ecstatically.
She had already met Ryan and Ryder. They hugged her too and she hugged them back.
Her dad and the boys were returning to Houston for the divorce proceedings. They would then pack up and come back to Travis Springs forever. Everyone was excited. Her parents would then fix a date for their wedding.
Rosalie and Jaden came home, happily. Finally everything was going well for them.
